The most welcoming site ever!

Kiln Farm Guest House
Kiln Farm is easy to access and is a delightful site with everything you need. We had the most lovely welcome from Mr Copeman bringing us tea, coffee, biscuits and treats for our dogs! The site is situated on the edge of Elmswell and close to Woolpit, with wonderful walks in all directions. There is easy access to the A14. We specifically chose the site as we love long countryside walks with our dogs and we were not disappointed. We spent a lovely 3 night break here and will definitely be returning for more weekends in the future.

Enjoyable 3 night stay

Kiln Farm Guest House
We received a very warm welcome from David, who soon presented us with a tray of tea, delicious chocolate biscuits and an orange juice for our grandson. Site kept well, adjacent to their well rated Guest House. Easy access to the surrounding area, via the A14 which is easily accessible from the site. Despite some road noise, the site and hospitality out weighed this. Very enjoyable stay, we even left with a box of pears! We will definitely be back.

A warm welcome.

Kiln Farm Guest House
We decided a few days in Suffolk would be good and chose 'Bury St. Edmunds' area & as our base, Kiln Farm guest house CL. We chose well. Mr Copeman welcomed us as soon as we arrived and offered us tea/coffee. What a lovely surprise & kind thought..it was most welcome, something we were both ready to have after our journey. The site is as the photographs suggest running slightly downhill from the guest house entrance. However, the grass is well maintained & although we needed some slight levelling of the van, it wasn't a big problem. The facilities are all near the house & easily marked, visible & well maintained. Access to the site is a little 'tricky' as it lies off quite a narrow road and although the entrance to the site is plenty wide enough, because of the road, a large outfit might find it an issue. The other concern we had was getting to the site & found the instructions a bit confusing. Coming off the A14 [Ipswich direction] to the roundabout given in the instructions, you need to go right around it and exit as if going back onto the A14 [Ipswich direction].KILN LANE is within 50m. of this exit on the left...so easy when you know !! As stated, it is a narrow twisting lane to the site but certainly not a big problem if cautious..as always.. to possible on coming traffic. The other point to make is the constant road noise from the A14. It settled for a few hours during the night but was always in the back ground, however this didn't stop us sleeping & we just became accustomed to it. Mr Copeman is very welcoming and was happy for us to choose our site & 'pitch up' as we liked. The guest house offers plenty of brochures for visiting the area & he was very helpful when we wanted to find local pubs with good food within a 10 mile radius of the site. We chose the Gardeners Arms Tostock..a very down to earth inn with good hot pub grub.. nothing pretentious. This is a lovely CL .& can be easily recommended & we would happily return when staying in the area .

very nice

Kiln Farm Guest House

This was our third CL on joining the CC. Our welcome was so friendly and was given a choose of spot to pitch. A slight slope but we wanted to try our folding camper on a slope and must report no problem at all. The site was well maintained and peaceful only for if you listen for the near by A14, as we live near a main road we didn't hear anything. Number 2 son was so excited to hear that a dear visits daily to eat on the apples left out by the CL owners, we didn't get to see the deer in the evening but in the morning whilst out on a walk did see a few, Badger hair found on sit so guess Mr Badger will soon make an appearance for the apples too. The road in is a single road so put faith in the one on coming car we saw to make adjustments. A well recommended site.
