Why stay here ...

In an area which traditionally has a mild, warm climate making it an excellent summer getaway, Blackpool South Club Site is level and open, with good screening from the road. This caravan park in Lancashire gives visitors convenient access to the town of Blackpool, which as Britain's premier seaside resort offers non-stop amusement for the whole family from morning to night. Children can also enjoy the playground on site, and horse riding which is based just around the corner.

Blackpool South Club Site is an ideal gateway to the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Famous attractions include The Sands and the Illuminations (late August to early November) and the Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you will find thrilling rides like the tallest, scariest roller coaster in the UK.

But the reasons to stay at Blackpool South aren't limited to the city limits of Blackpool. Just a few miles south of the site are the more relaxed towns of Lytham and St Anne's, famous for their golf courses and elegant shopping arcades as well as beautiful restaurants and exhilarating walks. St Anne's has plenty of sandy beaches ideal for families, and in Lytham you can take a leisurely stroll around Lowther Park or along Lytham Green. Blackpool South Club Site really does have something for everyone anytime of the year.

Hard working wardens make this site

We are quite regular at this site, early and late season, and love its location. Easy drive to Stanley Park, St Anne’s and of course Blackpool. We arrived this time to be very impressed. Approach kerbs painted white and a lovely clear area by the office give a great impression. Recently added gravel has improved hard standing and looks good. The whole place is spick and span which shows how hard staff have worked and continue to do so. The notice board introduces the area with lovely ideas and a degree of humour. Lovely welcome and cheery waves throughout our stay. Some traffic noise, especially early in the morning but we haven’t noticed it before so might be temporary due to a road closure. A word of warning, the approach road has some serious potholes in one part, the council needs to sort it.

Another great stay

We stopped at this site for a weekend (13th-15th March) stay to check out the van after a long time in winter storage. The welcome we received on arrival was second to none. The wardens were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The location of the site is great, not far off the M55 at all and a 5/10 minute drive to Blackpool Prom. A short walk down the lane is a cafe were you can meet meerkats on a Saturday! The site itself was great and the toilet/washing facilities were clean and warm. The slight downside is the road noise but this is during the day only. In the evening it all quietens down. The site is great for a weekend getaway or for a longer stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Another great stay

Recently stayed on this site for 6 nights and despite some horrendous rain over the weekend had yet another good time. Probably our 4/5th time here this year and the site was still looking good, even with just over a week of their season left. Yes the toilet black could do with updating but is always warm, tidy and clean - well unless you're unfortunate and follow someone who leaves mud all over the shower floor! Why would you not just clean it, it's probably 20 seconds out of your life!! Wardens must despair at times! Talking of wardens they were always to be seen working around the site, doing their best to clear leaves and keep pitches tidy. Easy to get into Blackpool by car (have heard the nearest bus stop is a trek!), and plenty of supermarket shopping nearby. Thanks to all the wardens for another great season

Facilities clean but dated, wardens abrupt

Whilst clean & tidy the shower blocks are like stepping back in time, only spoke to two wardens, they were both unfriendly & one was quite rude, will not be using the site again which is a shame as it is very well located

Nice site

Very nice site. Clean and tidy and well looked after. Very small playground for the children. Toilets were outdated but clean and had everything you needed. Reception staff on arrival were lovely and very helpful. There was a warden outside helping people on the site and keeping order. The site is quiet but you do hear the road noise. The only issue we had was that when the main toilets were being cleaned there are only 2 toilets available to be used. Both were locked. I asked a man cleaning the ladies if they were open and he said yes and someone might be in them. He was quite abrupt. Then said one of the toilets was out of order but there was no sign on door to say that. He was a bit rude. Saying that I would return to the site as it is very close to Blackpool in the car, about 15 minutes. Tip. If going to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach or the water park you can park on the side streets near the Big Blue Hotel as parking is free there all day. You catch the tram into Blackpool for example to see the lights. £4.80 for 2 adults one way. Children under 5 are free.
