Castleton Club Campsite is situated within a bowl at the heart of the Peak National Park and boasts beautiful views. One of our many Derbyshire caravan sites, this site is ideally suited for all interests and seasons, with each pitch being all-weather and local shops open all year round. The Christmas period is particularly spectacular, with town streets awash with festive lights and late night shopping for those last minute treats. There are a variety of pubs to choose from in the local village as well.

Castleton Club Campsite has easy access to all kinds of fun outdoor activities for the family to enjoy, such as rock climbing, potholing, biking and horse riding. The area offers endless lovely landscapes to stroll in at your leisure, including the dramatic Winnatt's Pass, Mam Tor and Ladybower Reservoir. The village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of William the Conqueror's Peveril Castle from which it gets its name, is a convenient half a mile away. It's hard to imagine another caravan site that can offer such a selection of natural and historical features. All in all, the entire area promises an unforgettable holiday getaway.

Great location and facilities

Castleton Club Campsite
This was our second time at Castleton and once again we were not disappointed. The site is only a 10 minute walk into the village with good facilities of a bakery, village store , gift shops and plenty of good pubs with good food and dog friendly. Plentiful local walks around from the village of different abilities. The visiting food vans with pizza and fish and chips were very good. The site staff and the facilities are excellent and the site in general is well maintained.

Fab week dodging the rain!

Castleton Club Campsite
Our first visit to Castleton & we were not disappointed! Friendly reception from the wardens on arrival, we had booked a serviced pitch which was slightly separated from the main site but still in a good location. It certainly rained whilst we were there but we had no issues with flooding on the pitch or around the site. We managed to visit/walk Win Hill & Ladybower, Lose Hill, Hollins Cross & Mam Tor, Cheedale & The Monsal Trail, Crowden Tower, Kinder Low & Jacob’s Ladder, National Trust at Longshaw & finally Treak Cliff Cave. There are several pubs in Castleton which are in walking distance from the site. Two food vans visited the site whilst we were there, the wood fire Pizza was a hit with ourselves! We will certainly return 😊

Great few days

Castleton Club Campsite
Great location for walking. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Easy walk into the local town of Castleton with very numerous pubs. Bus stop very near the entrance so easy access to other towns. We have motorhome and we were able to get around easily without using the van. Great drying room for inclement weather. Really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

MAY 2024

Castleton Club Campsite
Fabulous little site, wardens friendly and pitches are a decent size. Near a main road so try to pitch further around the site if you want peace and quiet. Castleton is a fantastic village, 7 pubs, would highly recommend The Nags and The Bull for food. Really pretty village just avoid a sunny weekend as it gets VERY busy. Loads of walks and caves to explore.
