We stayed here recently, owners very friendly and we loved the site. All pitches were level which is a bonus, we found the site quiet and very pleasant. We had no problems finding the CL, as it was well sign-posted and no problems with access either. There is a Co-op and a Spar close to a McDonalds within easy walking distance (10 minutes comfortably).
There are cash points at the Spar and also outside Sainsbury's. Sainsbury's is about 15 minutes away, we also walked into Alnwick quite a few times as the weather was good, it took us about 35 minutes. Barter Books is a "must visit" too, it's around 30 minutes leisurely walk and has a great restaurant with reasonably priced meals or cake, teas and coffees if you prefer. It's a book lovers dream and the big roaring fires are a delight!
We will definitely stay with Mr and Mrs Weddell again and look forward to visiting Alnwick again, it has a nice atmosphere and we found shop staff very friendly indeed.
My only minor criticism of the site was when emptying waste water and having to lift over a lip to empty it, as mentioned also by a previous reviewer. But all in all, the site is very well kept and we are glad we found it!
