Everything a CL should be.

We stayed here in March 2016 for 4 nights. The CL is easily accessed via the farm lane with direct access into the neat little walled site. The van was easily sited in one of the five bays, all on nice level hardcore. We had a most pleasant 4 nights here. It's a farmland setting yet the Town of Alnwick (and a Sainsbury's) is within a short drive. The owner is a real gent and is clearly keen to give good value.

Perfect

We stayed in June 2015. Setting aside the roadworks the location is really convenient for the A1. It's a couple of mile walk into Alnwick and the castle etc. Site is next to horse field and secluded. Water, waste, electric. Warm welcome from host. Can't say more. Loved it.

Great little site

Had booked here for four nights but managed an extra night as it is so convenient just off the A1 and a mile from the Alnwick and its attractions.Despite this there was hardly any traffic noise and lovely walks straight out of the gate.Owners very friendly and helpful as were all the locals. The only downside maybe some pitches could be a bit tight for large units ?

Well kept site

We stayed on this site for 3 nights just recently and found it to be well kept and quiet.  Nice dog walk through the woods next to the site. Owner very friendly, ideally located for nearby attractions, would certainly stay here again.

PERFECT CL

STAYED ON THIS CL FOR 8 NIGHTS FROM 11.9.15. I REALLY ENJOYED IT AT THIS CL VERY CLEAN AND WELL LOOKED AFTER. VERY QUIET WITH GOOD LINK TO A1.(YOU CAN'T HEAR ANY TRAFFIC NOISE). GOOD FOR DOGS, WALK INTO WOOD AT SIDE OF CL CENTRAL FOR THE SURROUNDING AREA WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL. ONE OF THE BEST CL'S WE HAVE STOPPED ON. NICE OWNERS TOO

Excellent Location

We stayed for a week here in July. It is such a convention location as it is so close to the shops, Alnwick and main roads for visiting other places in the area and yet so sheltered and peaceful. The only time the traffic could be heard was when the wind was in a certain direction and even then it was not really noticeable. Hardstanding means it doesn't get wet even when it rains a lot. The owner is very helpful and welcoming. The area is beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this CL and will definitely return.

Lovely, peaceful site - friendly owners

We had a great stay at this lovely, peaceful site for 3 nights from 3/9/15. We have a camper, towing a smarter and had plenty of room on hardstanding. We were travelling with our dog - the site is very dog friendly. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, making us welcome and coming to speak to us before we left to ensure all was OK. The site is set in lovely surroundings, next to the farm which has beautiful old stone barns. Great walks from our doorstep, Alnwick just 20 minutes walk away - make sure you go to Barter Books. Very close to the A1 for travel, however little noise from the road. Aln Valley Railway is just about 10 minutes walk away for train enthusiasts - check opening times. There is a nearby industrial estate which we noticed has a pub that we could have walked to. Alnmouth beach just 4 miles away - not far to Warkworth, Amble - and north to Seahouses, Bamburgh, Holy Island and many other wonderful places! If you're looking for internet and a good phone signal, then you'll need to go to Barter Books for internet and phone may be a bit variable. Although close to so amenities the site is very quiet and we slept really well - little light pollution so a great view of the night sky and Orion! Highly recommend this site.

Lovely Visit

We stayed here in our motorhome for 2 nights in June, and would not hesitate to return. Friendly and helpful hosts and a peaceful quiet site despite proximity to A1 (and roadworks at the time). All hardstanding, we were on the stance nearest to the woodland: it was perfectly sunny, open and airy. A lovely CL and so much to do and see in the area.

Oasis just off the A1

Very nice tranquil site, just a few minutes from the A1. Don't be put off by the approach through a modern industrial estate, this is a rural site with a couple of very nice footpath leading from it. Nice tidy well kept site although facilities are a little basic, but all work well. Handy for Alnwick and surrounding area with hardstanding areas. Great basic site.

Excellent Site

Compact, hard standing site. Very convenient for town and supermarkets yet in the country with excellent woodland walks direct from site. Great for dogs. There is a commercial area nearby but you really dont notice it. Very welcoming hosts. Cannot understand "papasmurfs" comments at all. Note when coming from AI south, you dip under the A1 and site entrance lane is immediately on your right, perhaps 50 mtrs from rndbt. Signs somewhat obscure on right hand of that entrance lane. Miss it and you have to go back onto A1 for some miles. Speaking from experience!
