Friendly Convenient Base

We have stayed here a number of times, at all times of the year, whilst visiting friends in the area. Colin and May always provide a warm welcome and go out of their way to provide whatever is necessary for the stay. The ground is usually well-drained in one area or the other and the location is convenient for many local attractions. Clay-pit walks can be accessed from the village. A good all-round base for touring Cornwall.

Katy and Ebony

The weather might have been lousy, but the sight was lovely . Only stayed for two nights. Lovely and peaceful, even if we were slightly rocking in the high winds, but that ment I got a day of rest and no driving, although drove just under 300 miles home the following day.  Only us there , lots of space, beautiful views.  Colin was very helpful and Ebony loved her chews.  Shame about the weather, but will go back next year for a longer stay hopefully.

Excellent CL

Two separate areas give choice from at least 10 pitches. Warm welcome from Colin who could not have been more helpful. Good location to visit Eden Centre and the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and current workings. The extensive workings mean that this is an interesting rather than a beautiful area but do not be put off.  Much to see and do. Easy access to Padstow and the Bodmin and Wenford Historic Railway. Good mobile phone cover and Wi-Fi provision. We would not hesitate to return.

Different scenery

This was a lovely well kept site. We spent the whole of last week there. We've been to many parts of Cornwall and the scenery is lovely. Here, though, it was amongst the clay mines. I found the 'alternative' scenery very interesting and got some 'different' photos. We had a lovely few hours at the Screech Owl Sanctuary. The highlight was a young kookaburra bird who decided to do his own thing and catch a mouse - and eat it in front of everyone. He was put in his cage in disgrace. I'd recommend this site and would go again.

A real Pearl of a CL

We arrived here mid afternoon Wednesday 13th May. We stayed for 3 nights as part of a tour of Devon and Cornwall. All I can do is to repeat all the good things other have already said, so I won't. The bus stop outside the site entrance was a bonus and saved us £4 each on entrance to the Eden Project. I wholeheartedly recommend this CL.

Wonderful Week

We arrived at Frenton mid afternoon and had a fabulous welcome from Colin and Ebbs the lovely ex Police dog. Colin had chosen an excellent pitch for us due to the bad weather we had been having (torrential rain and gale force winds).  We stayed for 10 days and even though the weather was pretty wet and windy every night the days were reasonable and due to the ground most of the wet disappeared each day, and the ground was never muddy once.  It was a superb location for all of the planned visits to the Eden Project, Padstow, Newquay etc.  we would certainly recommend this site and I can see us returning again and again. Thank you Colin, May, and Ebbs for a lovely time.

Frenton Farm

We stayed here for eight nights in September and could not fault any of the facilities .The owner was most helpful and even loaned us a TV aerial so that we could receive a signal. The digital aerial on our caravan was not much use.An excellent site for short stays or longer. We will certainly recommend this site

Superb welcome to Cornwall

This was our first experience of using a Caravan Club certified site and we coudn't have had a warmer welcome. Colin was friendly, informative and helpful throughout our three night stay and would definitely stay here again.

Warm welcome.

We are first time caravan owners and have so far stayed on 8 sites in the south and southwest of the country. We stayed here for two weeks in June/July 2014 and regret not staying longer.  We will be back Colin for another peaceful holiday. Read all the reviews and couldn't agree more. Lovely site, lovely people and superb facilities. Colin and his wife May and Ebony are truly lovely people (and dog). Deborah and Steve.
