Bit Disappointed

Frenton Farm site is lovely and peaceful but I was a bit disappointed. The site advertises takeaway food so I hoped it would mean a fish and chip van or burger van would visit the site but no, it simply means there is a takeaway nearby. This sadly is a Chinese takeaway in Nanpean. Well, who can afford £15 per night on a Chinese meal? Secondly the site advertises an extensive woodland dog walk area. This is a small copse of trees that you could walk around in 15 minutes. Hardly extensive! Finally the advert said £10 per night or £60 per week (7 nights). This offer was discontinued two years ago. It was a combination of these three things that made me choose this site above any others but none of these exist. I just don't want others to be as disappointed as I was. If the advert had been truthful I would have thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Colin and May are lovely people and very helpful indeed.

Wonderful site, lovely people

We had a wonderful stay here last year and would recommend Colin's site to anyone who is visiting the area. The site is a perfect base for days out in and aruond St Austell; there so, so much to do you simply do not have the time. As for the site itself; it is immaculate and Colin, his wife and beautiful dog Ebony gave us the friendliest welcome we have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble - in fact Colin even drove my husband to the local chip shop as he wouldn't have us walk there, insisting he had nothing better to do and would happily drive us! Such a lovely chap - with a wealth of knowledge of the local area and lots of handy hints for getting about the narrow roads in our big van. He gave us tips on local attractions, markets & days out - things we would have missed out on had he not shared with us. The views from our pitch were stunning; looks right over the china clay mines...a goregous view. The 5 pitches were well spaced out; we had the entire l/h/s of the garden to ourselves so you can imagine the peace, privacy & views just made you feel like you didn't want to leave...one of best trips for exploring and such a lovely place to stay. We'll certainly go back, many times.
