Spotless site

Visited July 2020 Lovely little level site, very well maintained with water by each pitch. Owners very friendly. Well situated for walks to Danes Dyke and coast walks. Tried to book in this April but was full.

Another great stay

Second time we've stayed and both times unfortunately exceptionally bad weather, but despite this had a great stay. Thick conifer hedge around 3 sides sheltering site so despite 50+mph winds still managed to hang onto our awning. Site virtually flat and well mown. John very welcoming and helpful, loaning us a length of waste pipe for the fully serviced pitch, and making sure we arrived and departed safely. Waste/ recycling very clean and organised, and agree with others that the stainless steel chemical waste is brilliant, best we've come across at a CL.Good location for visiting whole Yorkshire coast but don't miss areas on your doorstep such as Flamborough North & South Landings, Danes Dyke and Bempton RSPB Reserve. Will definately be returning, hopefully with better weather next time .

Excellent CL in an ideal location

We were lucky enough to get a cancellation on this very popular CL. John kindly provided some hoses so we were able to enjoy the delights of a serviced pitch (which will now be difficult to live without!) We were totally self sufficient as the toilet and shower are currently closed due to covid. The site is immaculately kept with plenty of hand sanitiser and spray available. John and Kim were very welcoming and a font of local knowledge. There are numerous walks from the site, of which we only managed to sample a few with the dog. The site is an ideal base from which to visit Flamborough, Scarborough, Filey and Whitby, which is further afield and there is a bus stop just outside. It was a delight to stand and watch the wild deer in the field opposite the site and the seals at scenic Flamborough Head. Would highly recommend a stay here.

First CL Site will take some beating!

We came to High Breame the day it reopened after lockdown. We were met by John who explained all the workings of our fully serviced pitch (unexpected bonus!) and the Covid-19 regulations. The site was freshly mown and looked immaculate. The toilet waste area is first class with disinfectant and hand sanitizer available. We enjoyed walks along the cliff tops to Flamborough lighthouse and Bridlington and down to the beach through Danes Dyke, a wonderful leafy gully where we saw wild deer. As this was our first ever caravan trip we think High Breame will take some beating! Thanks to John and Kim for a great site!

A great short break.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at High Breame. It was great from the start with a warm welcome from John who was really helpful and accommodating. We got the hardstanding pitch we had requested; there are 2 available. The CL is a large grass field surrounded by hedges for shelter. All pitches have water and waste and all for £17 a night!! Compared to the CAMC just under a mile away for high £30’s for a serviced pitch it was a brilliant bargain. As other reviewers have mentioned, the chemical waste disposal point is an excellent stainless steel affair, which I found better than any CAMC installation, everything very tidy and practical. We didn’t use the shower and toilet but we are sure they are fine too. Owner John was most helpful during setup and is also a fount of local knowledge for walks, wildlife, etc. A bus to Bridlington goes right past the door, nearest stop is around 300 yds away. This was a really excellent site and would most certainly use it again.

A lovely site

We have just returned from a five night xmas stay on this site, and we cant praise it highly enough. We only ever use cl sites as we enjoy the peace and quite they can offer, and this by far is one of best kept and welcoming sites it has ever been our pleasure to visit. John and Kim are the nicest people you could wish to meet, warm and friendly with nothing too much trouble. We arrived on xmas day, welcomed at the gate by John. He explained that one of the guests water hose ( all the pitches are fully serviced) had come free during the night and flooded the site. We parked up and he walked us around the site, letting us choose where to set up. Armed with sturdy planks, he then helped us to position the van in a top corner. Had he not been there, as is the case on so many cl's, we would have struggled to get pitched. The site itself is pristinely maintained. The chem. disposal point is a clean raised stainless affair (rather than the usual hole in the ground with a rusty lid), the grey water waste point is ramped for ease of use, both are hidden neatly away behind a nice fence. There are loo's and showers on site ( which we had no call to use though I suspect they will be a spotless as everywhere else) and the entire site is surrounded by a well kept high hedge. This will definitely not be our last visit to High Breame, and we shall look forward to many more visits.

Brilliant!!

To be honest I can't really add to the comments already posted. We were made to feel so welcome and found this CL delightful. We had a grand time and John & Kim were very helpful from start to finish. John kitted us out for a serviced pitch as we didn't have the "tackle". This turned to be a real treat..no emptying waste or filling aquarolls. The weather was good, the walks were fantastic and there are some lovely spots to visit. We really did not want to come home but have already booked for next year. Thank you from Gwyneth & Mike

What a find!

On the off chance that there would be availability we called the site owner on Saturday for availability from the Sunday. As luck would have it we managed 5 nights due to a cancellation. The site is lovely, what a revelation - immaculate grassed site, spotless shower and toilet, and fully serviced pitches - and all for £19 a night. The main caravan club site just down the road was £35.50 a night for a standard pitch!! John couldn’t do enough to help, even apologising because he couldn’t fit us in for another two nights. If only all CLs were as good as this we would never use any other site ever again. Highly recommended (if you can get in)!

Our first CL site sets an ambitious standard

We arrived a day early (my error) but got the warmest of welcomes from Jon and Kim. What a lovely site and hosts. Immaculate grounds, shower/wc. Huge pitches. And really close to the Yorkshire coastline. We visited 5 beaches in 5 days and went back to one because it was so lovely. Hunmanby Gap. Just gorgeous. A massive bravo to Jon and Kim for sharing their very lovely slice of coastal life in Yorkshire.

Our favourite CL!

High Breame has been a regular spot for us for the last five years or so - at least it used to be! It's well deserved popularity makes it difficult to get in but after a year's absence we managed to stay for 7 nights last week. The site just gets better - if that's possible - from the manicured lawn - spotless facilities - much improved access to the grey water drainage and clearly defined pitches - with loads of room. The one thing that hasn't changed is the lovely warm welcome and hospitality from John and Kim. They work so hard to make everyones stay as enjoyable as possible and nothing is too much trouble. It's well worth planning ahead to book a place on this CL because I can guarantee, you won't be disappointed.
