We went to this site specifically to visit the Safari Park and it didn't disappoint. We should have booked our tickets in advance through the Club Website, but I missed this point and had to book it the night before through my phone. This wasn't easy as the phone signal is quite poor there. It's a very simple walk from the site to the Safari with no need to take your car. You can take the Bus Trip around the park, which only costs £5 per person with excellent commentary from the driver. The damage done to the cars by the monkeys was quite shocking but great fun to watch from the safety of the bus. The site facilities are very clean and the wardens work hard to achieve this - although they could be a bit more friendly as they go about their daily tasks. National Trust is well represented in this area. I would recommend Stourhead which is beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the surrounding towns. You are unlikely to go hungry. We would have no problem in recommending this site to our friends.
