Good for families

Location of this site was spot on for us, as we enjoy walking.

My husband and I stayed her for 5 nights starting on bank holiday Monday. The site was full but surprisingly peaceful, we were on the gravel pitches at the bottom of the site. The site next door has a very well stocked shop that we were able to use so that was helpful. There are numerous routes to walk into Looe but has a previous reviewer has pointed out, Looe is extremely hilly & walking back to the site is a challenge. There is a bus stop outside the site & there were plenty of taxis in Looe. I did not see any seagulls on site but the site has plenty of crows which come alive at dusk until it goes dark, interesting watching them though. Travelling pizza van was delicious & so was the ice cream van. Milendraeth beach is a mile walk down from the site but quite a gradient on the way back. The beach bar there is nice but only sells drinks. In the town the fisherman’s arms was a friendly pub, again no food served though & the golden guinea pub has a pleasant beer garden with lovely food. We visited polperro which was very busy & also walked the coastal path to Seaton. Where we along with 4 others were stranded as the bus only went to the car park and didn’t come to the bus stop, so beware. We ended up sharing a taxi back which was not cheap. Site was clean, wardens friendly & we will definitely go back.
