Ramslade Club Campsite is nestled attractively between the River Dart and the coast offering facilities that won't disappoint. The campsite is ideal for families, with plenty to keep everyone entertained in the local area and a playing field on site. This campsite affords beautiful hillside views from most of its pitches and is only a mile from Stoke Gabriel, one of Devon's prettiest villages. Crabbing at low tide is an absolute tradition in the area and easy river access to the village makes this an excellent centre for exploring towns along the English Riviera such as Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.

Within the lovely South Hams area of Devon, Ramslade Club Campsite also offers easy access to the inland attractions of Dartmoor and the busting cities of Plymouth and Exeter. The convenient location of the campsite will also give you the opportunity to explore a number of National Trust properties. For walking enthusiasts, the numerous coastal pathways are guaranteed to give hours of scenic pleasure. For a fun day out with the kids, don't miss the Splashdown water park at Goodrington.

Directions

Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to alternative roads being unsuitable for towing. Leave the M5 at junction 31 and follow signs to Torquay (A380) bypassing Newton Abbot. Continue to follow signs for touring parks on Paignton Ring Road (A380). At the traffic lights turn right onto the A385 Totnes Road (signposted Totnes, Plymouth). In about 0.25 mile at the bottom of the hill turn sharp left immediately before The Parker Arms public house. The site is on the right in 1.5 miles (winding road), about 0.25 mile past a large caravan site on left (which is not a Club Site). There is a security barrier at the entrance.

One of the best

Ramslade Club Campsite
We stayed at this site for a week in mid April, this was one of the cleanest sites I have ever been. The staff clearly love what they do and work hard to keep it spot less, from the service points to the facilities completely spotless. The staff are warm and welcoming and will have a chat and laugh with you but also leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. The dog exercise area is huge, and secure our beagle had great fun running around and I wasn’t worried, nice to see the kids play area completely away from caravans and a big field to encourage ball games away from pitches. The premium WiFi is one of the best, our tv signal was 0 however the WiFi for a week £15 was fantastic and meant that we could stream. Clearly other sites need to take note. Just be careful on the approach do NOT listen to a domestic car sat nav, avoid going down to Sainsbury’s as a sat nav will take you, the roads are not suitable for a car/caravan or Motorhome. Unless you want to have to change your underwear on arrival. See the approach instructions prior. Other sites take note and learn from this site. All I can say is thank you to the staff for making the site a haven.

Disappointing dog exercise field, would not visit again.

Ramslade Club Campsite
Nothing wrong with the site or the management. However we only book sites with an off lead secure dog field and this was supposed to have one. The dog field was lovely and big other than the damaged fence right next to a busy main road that even a small dog could jump over. We were too nervous about letting our dogs run around the field so this really spoilt the holiday for us as we have large dogs that need to run around. We would not return again for this reason. Be aware of this if you visit with dogs.

Home from home

Ramslade Club Campsite
After staying on the nearby club site at steamer key for the last 15 years before they decided they didn’t want caravans there anymore as they wanted to concentrate on motorhomes, they shut the site completely in September 2022 leaving members no choice but to look elsewhere, as we love the area, we decided to give Ramslade a chance,,what a site?! Amazing, we were made welcome by all the staff as soon as we arrived, the pitches are huge, the facilities are immaculate, the children’s play area and the huge dog walking area (for those of us who have neither children or dogs) are well away from the camping area so site is very peaceful, a two hourly bus service runs during the day from Stoke Gabriel to Paignton, which is ideal,, the approach road to the site is a little bit tight in places but is easy enough to negotiate with a little bit of care. Best of all, there is lots of friendly caravaners there, and you can put your awnings up!! Bye bye Steamer Quay (we will sorely miss Kevin and Marianne though😢)

fantastic time

Ramslade Club Campsite
Stayed at Ramslade for two weeks in September and had a fantastic time as it was so quiet and the staff were absolutely brilliant as answering every question I had including a nice beach locally and where to go for Sunday lunch when my daughter came to visit.I believe in my 25 years as a member this is one of my favorite sites even though we had a very long and noisy thunderstorm in the middle of my stay

Lovely staff that really made it

Ramslade Club Campsite
We had a great couple of days at Ramslade - the dog walking area was excellent, the pitch was great. I would have preferred a 'hidden' chemical toilet point as it is a bit gross seeing them being emptied from your camping spot. There isnt a pub in walking distance. But the best part of it was the staff who were so lovely and couldnt do enough for us.Thank you so much!
