Why stay here ...

The site is secluded and quiet with a view of one of Shropshire's best known landmarks, the Wrekin Hill which is just a short drive away and is ideal for walking and enjoying the splendid views.

There are eight pubs within three miles of the park including a real ale pub in the village and the majority of these pubs offer good home cooked food.

For those who enjoy cycling we are located on Route 81 National Cycle Route and for walkers there is an extensive network of local foot paths and lanes.

The medieval town of Shrewsbury, which is the birth place of Charles Darwin, is just five miles away. A busy town set in the loop of the River Severn with a Castle and a diverse range of shops, museums, restaurants, theatre and a cinema.

Other things to do nearby include:-

  • The World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, the birthplace of industry, with many museums.
  • Wroxeter Roman City (English Heritage) and Wroxeter Roman Vineyard.
  • The National Trust property  Attingham Park -  a popular mansion house and estate with a beautiful walled garden and woodland walks.
  • Much Wenlock  the home of the modern day Olympic Games is a small Shropshire medieval town which is quintessentially English.
  • The Severn Valley Steam Railway which runs from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster.
  • The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford.
  • The modern shopping centre at Telford.

There is a caravan washing facility at the site which is complimentary.

Brian and Josie look forward to welcoming you to their CL.

Wrekin View Caravan Site
Wrekin View is a lovely, quiet, secluded site but still has easy access to historic Shrewsbury and the commercial centres of Telford within 20 minutes' drive. The site is beautifully maintained and immaculate, with the village of Withington only 10 minutes walk away. Unfortunately the pub was closed for refurbishment while we were here but we're looking forward to trying it on our next visit. The service Brian provides is nothing short of outstanding. He is a genuinely lovely human and couldn't do enough for us. Brian - thank you so much for all your help, we look forward to staying at your lovely site again.

Stayed here for 4 nights, a beautiful tranquil place to stay, lovely views of the countryside, this site is well maintained with good size fully serviced pitches & a few fruit trees, flower tubs & the beautiful scent of Roses. Daily visits from the friendly cheeky robin. Brian & Josie are very welcoming & have so much information & booklets to hand. All you need is a few good bottles of wine & a few good books. Local pubs in near by villages. We cycled into shewsbury town along the old canal & it took about an hour each way, Plenty to see & places to visit. Will definitely be returning.

Just spent a week here and was so impressed I’ve decided to leave a review. It’s perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay with outstanding views of the surrounding area. Very well maintained by Brian who has a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and places to visit. He is genuinely a really nice chap. Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend to others.
