Took our booking last minute which i appreciated. Offered help with local cycle routes and places of interest. the location is great and facilities are good, half motorhomes, half long term caravana's, but I think its quite over priced at £32.50 a night and also I wouldn't return are there are two huge mobile phone masts just a few hundred meters away which is a health concern for me firstly and secondly quite unsightly.

Disappointed

Bucket and Spade
We wouldn’t normally pay more than £22/n for a CL without adjoining site with showers toilets and it was in an area we hadn’t tried and realised the area and Goodwood seem to warrant higher prices and I concluded I suppose you pay for what you get. How disappointing. Long, uncut grass, not heard of a strimmer round the edges and 4ft high thistles at the entrance. Then morning “ablutions”…. No toilet paper or hand towels. Oh and the music coming from the £42/ night camp site across the way! So to sum up disappointing and not worth £37/ night, I would have rather stayed at a club site….. NOT! Signing out …… CL limited facilities Snob😎

Lovely CL Site at Easter

Bucket and Spade
The site has 2 small fields, one with some hard standing pitches if I remember correctly and the second field is grass with nice views overlooking fields etc. We were in the further field, which in my opinion was nicer. We saw the deer most mornings. The day we arrived there had recently been a lot of rainfall and Peter called us that morning to enquire what sort of vehicle we had as the field was rather boggy. When we arrived we ended up getting towed in as we got stuck around the gate area between the two fields. In places the field was less boggy and we, and our friends, soon set up. There were a couple of issues with the electrics tripping. I believe recently Peter had an electrician do some work on the hook ups which wasn’t quite right. Lots of places to visit nearby. We went to Chichester, Bosham, Emsworth, Selsey and Petworth House. The site offers toilet and shower facilities - though we use our own. I did pop in the toilet and it was clean and spacious. We had an awful lot of rain Sunday night and the following day the field was extremely boggy. We need assistance getting the caravans out, though we did manage to get the car out without issue. Nobody can predict the weather and Peter was very helpful in assisting us - and others. I believe he is already planning on trying to solve one of the problem areas between the two fields.

Absolutely tip-top!

Bucket and Spade
August 2021 A fantastic little site with loads of space so you don’t feel like you’re in a housing estate but free in the fields! Wonderfully organised and so so clean. The shower and toilets smelt amazing! A pleasure to use rather than an unpleasant experience. Even emptying the cassette toilet was better here as it was a flushing system with space to place and tilt the cassette right next to it. Peter was a really welcoming and helpful owner that helped us out even though we interrupted his dinner. Thanks so much. Can’t wait to return!! P.s. The Anchor pub just a few minutes up the road is definitely worth a visit. Really friendly staff and delicious food.

A Lovely Place

Bucket and Spade
We stopped here for 6 nights in April 2021. This was our second visit to the site and found it just as lovely as we previously did. Peter and Hayley (the new owners) are lovely, friendly people, this is a new venture for them and they are doing a great job. The CL is separated from the other part of the site by a fence and bushes. There are only 11 pitches in total though so it’s not crowded at all. The pitches are huge with plenty of space between and plenty of space for kids to play safely. There are some tremendous walks right on the doorstep, you are literally 20 metres away from a footpath which leads out over fields from which you can walk all the way down to Chichester Mariner, perfect for dogs. There is a small herd of deer that graze the fields and can be spotted most days. Unfortunately the pub over the road was closed when we visited, it is being renovated and will, I’m informed be opening shortly. It was nice to see kids having a good time, they had their bikes with them and had a bit of a zoom around most days. They didn’t bother us at all, they were a nice family. We plan on going back towards the end of June and personally, I can’t wait! Thanks Peter and Hayley, keep up the good work. I’ll bring more beer next time :o)
