A real find, Moorhampton Club Campsite is a charming, popular getaway which commonly sees its visitors return time and again. Formerly a railway station, the campsite is nestled in the dreamy North Herefordshire countryside, with daffodils on the bank at the entrance and apple blossom in the orchard nearby.

Moorhampton Club Campsite is located in the area of the famous black and white villages - start at Weobley only 4 miles away; there's a trail you can follow to explore some of them. Right off the beaten track, here you will find the opportunity to experience a perfect example of an old English village, with the church at its heart and 14th to 16th century timber-framed cottages lining its streets. The market town of Ludlow and Ludlow Castle are both well worth a visit. Also located nearby is the beautiful countryside of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The campsite is also within easy reach of the beautiful River Wye - places like Symonds Yat offer canoeing and fishing for those who enjoy water sports. Golfers won't be disappointed as there are well kept greens and facilities to be found nearby.

one word - fabulous

Moorhampton Club Campsite
I'll declare straight away that we are newbies, we arrived having just collected our very first campervan. Excited and terrified at the same time. The wardens where amazing, friendly, calming, helpful and just what we needed. The site is quiet and as others have said it you want full WiFi and phone signal don't go. It's clean, tidy, very well maintained and no ridiculous unnecessary rules. I'd have to say we loved it- they even allow dogs. The next morning, when we didn't have the necessary kit to fill up with fresh water they helped (THANK YOU) and ensured we were ready for the road. In fact we liked it so much that although we'd checked out, we returned that afternoon and checked in again. Don't go if you want to play loud music and spend time on your phone. Do go if you want peace and quiet to relax and enjoy your stay. Ju

Small but perfectly formed!

Moorhampton Club Campsite
A small but very well laid out site, and if you are after peace this site gives it in spades! We loved hearing the owl opera at night. Everything was immaculately kept by the hardworking and friendly wardens. On a funny negative note my first visit to the showers on my first morning had me beating a quick retreat when I found hornets doing the backstroke in the shower tray! They are attracted to the lights through the open windows at night. I would definitely use this site a lot more if we lived closer. The local farm shop and Hereford Nursery are well worth a visit. A couple of points for dog owners, there are some lovely walks in the area, you don’t need to walk your dog/s around the pitches. And when we were packing up we found dried dog poo under our van! But apart from that a great little site.

Don’t tell everyone!

Moorhampton Club Campsite
If your thing is peaceful tranquility coupled with beautiful countryside, then look no further - just don’t tell everyone it’s to be found at Moorhampton on the site of a former county railway station in the heart of Herefordshire. At the end of a perfect day fall asleep to the sound of the resident owl calling to its mate - magic.

Tranquil and peaceful site

Moorhampton Club Campsite
Have just spent 8 nights here and had the most wonderful time. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep of the immaculately kept pitches. Leave the television at home and just enjoy listening to wildlife!! We will miss the owls hooting every night and early morning….. the lack of phone 3G didn’t impact on us at all. The wardens are all just …..perfect!! Thank you to John and Carolyn who settled us in on the first two days then Jez, Heather and Abby (dog) who came back after their well-earned break. They all worked so hard and the site is kept in perfect order. Definitely will be back to see this fabulous site again. My husband and I usually use our shower in the caravan but these showers were so powerful and hot not to mention fabulously clean! Just one bit of feedback - we felt that the lights being turned off on the site is not such a great idea - we understand the light pollution aspect but do worry about some people having a tumble etc….. with the nights drawing in now, maybe the lights should be on? Very dark so please have a torch with you…..

Perfect tranquility

Moorhampton Club Campsite
We've just had the perfect week at Moorhampton and we didn't want to come home! The site was immaculate, facilities spotlessly clean, and the staff were all great - Heather, Jez, Carolyn and John We'd definitely recommend this site, and we're definitely going back!
