Absolute gem of a site

Cayton Village Club Campsite
Stayed here April 2024 with partner and two teenagers. We had a fantastic weekend and cannot recommend this site highly enough. It is a 15 minute walk to Cayton Bay beach and there is a bus directly outside the site that takes 15 minutes to Scarborough or Filey. The site has a games room with TV and Pool Table and shop is well stocked. There is a hut on site selling breakfasts and a fish and chip van visits on Fridays. There are two play areas on site and both are clean and tidy with the wardens out and about keeping on top of things. Staff in shop and reception were very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were spotlessly clean as was the whole site. We had a very relaxing weekend and found this site perfect for whatever you want to do be it a relaxing break, family holiday or for the more adventurous for some walks on the Cleveland Way. We will definitely be back

Great site

Cayton Village Club Campsite
Stayed for 5 nights over the Easter hols 2024. Wardens were very friendly and worked very hard. They had entertainment on for families: disco and games for the kids. We didnt take part as we didnt have kids but it was lovely to see that they had gone the extra mile for the children. I hope the get some recognition form the club. The toilets were some of the best Ive seen on a CAMH cub site (been a member for 10 yrs) Shop and pubs in a five min walking distance and the beach is 20/25 mins depending on how fit you are. My only bug was the internet: we actually paid £15 for the club WiFi asI had work to complete and that was worse than useless. I will be following this up as they should not sell something that does not work. Its not the wardens fault so didnt compain to them. Despite the Wifi issues I would go back.

Excellent site and location

Cayton Village Club Campsite
One of the best CMC sites I have stayed at, with excellent facilities and in a great location. Bus stop outside the entrance, with easy access to Scarborough or Bridlington, and surrounding towns and villages. Only 10 minutes walk into the village, which has 3 shops and 2 pubs (the Star Inn serves excellent Theakston beer).

First time at Cayton Village

Cayton Village Club Campsite
Booked solely to stay alongside friends using a Glamping Cabin. Site is four and a half miles from Scarborough itself, with good public transport from outside the site, and a P&R a mile away. Just outside village of Cayton itself with a store and pubs. Site itself looks quite new, big generous HS pitches, and very nice clean facility block. Only the lower site was open at time of our visit, but expect upper site and facilities to be similar. The lower site is a tad bleak and open for our taste, bit car park like, but has a few trees and shrubs. The Glamping Cabin area is more inviting from a “plantings” perspective. Staff on duty were very welcoming and helpful, made sure to inform us about adjacent ongoing building works, so we could choose a quieter pitch. The dog walk on-site is very good, plenty of distance for that first and last walk, and it’s fenced in so dogs can go off lead. Scarborough isn’t far, plenty to do and see. We had no problems parking our MH up under the Castle. Interesting observation. Our friends paid a lot less for a Cabin per night, than we did for a pitch. The site wasn’t busy at all, at most 40 pitches of lower area in use at time of our stay. A better midweek discount might attract more visitors at this time of year. We will visit again, but might get a better deal in a Cabin.
