Excellent site

We spent four nights at this wonderful site visiting family, places of interest and just chilling. We agree with many of the previous reviews about cleanliness, flowers, play areas, woodland walk around the site, dog areas, 5min walk to Carsington water etc.  Have to say we looked at many of the pitches and could not see an issue with sizes, that is unless you might have a 30ft unit.  Will visit again!

Our very 1st Caravanning experience

This was our very 1st caravanning experience, and although we have little to compare to, we found the staff very friendly and helpful, the site was very clean, toilet/shower block also very clean. The site is set within woodland and is so peaceful, (at night it is absolutely silent). We took our 2 dogs and found the dog walking area around the woods ideal. Although our kids are all grown up now, the small play area was ideal and would easily keep our grandchildren amused. We would definitely come back to this site again.

Peace and Tranquility, love it!

My Husband and I accompanied our 2 dogs for a 6 night stay at this site. The toilet facilities are immaculate and plentiful, never had to wait for anything. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Yes the local bus does allow dogs at £1 each. Plentiful walks and wonderful scenery. Close to local amenities (cafes and pubs). Superb holiday we will definitely visit again.

Peace and Tranquility in Ashbourne

Beautiful setting within pinewoods, you can select your own pitch but due to the site not all get the evening sun! The toilet/shower facilities are immaculate. Fabulous walks around and good pubs nearby! Fab cakes down at Carsington visitor centre. Definitely going to pay a return visit! Yes dogs are permitted on the local bus at £1 charge. We used this mode to visit Ashbourne, lovely day out!

Return visit

We have just returned from another lovely visit to the site.We stayed near to the childrens play area this visit and our 7 year old loved it ,we made the short walk to carsington water and spent time at the visitors center and park before taking the dog a walk round. The wardens were great again and super helpful ,all the facilities were spotless as was the site itself, with lovely flowers displayed around. We will be back again for another weekend visit soon without a doubt.

carsington water

Wardens very pleasant and helpful with activities for the kids aged 6 and 8. Facilities kept to a high standard. Easy access to Carsington water for the whole family on cycles. Shall definitely re-visit. Take notice of advise to ignore sat nav directions for last few miles or run risk of travelling down single track roads with few passing places***

Brilliant experience

Visited last week with grandchildren - 9 & 7. Great caravan site - nice big pitches, mostly set amongst conifers. very clean and well placed toilet block - also had a drying room - excellent for people who had been using the nearby facilities. very friendly and efficient staff, working hard to keep the place clean and tidy - and very efficient office. For us the playground was brilliant for the children, ours making lots of new friends - lots of goodbye-waving. The facilities at Carsington Water were excellent - brilliant cakes, great play areas. Good pubs/eateries within a couple of miles and further afield Dovedale and that area - brilliant walking country. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there - and will be returning -either with or without the grandchildren

Peace And Quiet In a Beautiful Seting

We were very impressed with the Club site at Carsington. If you have children, there's lots for them to do. if, like us, you want peace and quiet there are parts of the site that are tranquil and out of the way. The amenities block is immaculate and the whole site is neat and well tended. Carsington Water is literally a 10 minute walk away and there's plenty of other things to do in this lovely area of England. I would strongly recommend this site to all Club members.
