September break

Just spent a week at this great little site, the wardens are so helpful and friendly. Great location next to the village (don't walk to Cheddar via the main road, turn left out of the gate, down the lane and over the bridge). Negatives - the showers, although spotless are a bit on the small side and the access road is a single track blind bend - not helped by some people turning up before 12.00 despite warnings on arrival times and completely blocking the lane! The White Hart Inn has some excellent food and beer, as does the Riverside.

Ideal location

Cheddar caravan club site is ideally situated for the gorge and shops. A short walk on a safe pathway leads into the town. Lovely clean facilities, helpful and pleasant wardens and good sized and spaced pitches.  The Bath Arms, the nearest eatery to the site is very good for food and service too!

Short Stay

Stayed here for 2 nights with my Husband and our dog Belle. We were welcomed immediately and given choice of any available pitch which we thought was great. Very tidy and well organised site with no long walks to top up water or empty your toilet.  The bathroom facilities were spotless. My only small moan about them is that the four shower cubicles are very small so shower curtain sticking to you which isn't Ideal but as you only in there for a few minutes it certainly wouldn't put us off staying here again.  Cheddar Village is a good 15 minute walk but lots of places to eat and drink including several takeaways and plenty of outside seating if your lucky enough to see the sun (it rained the two days we were there). There is a good dog walk as soon as you leave the site too. Overall this is a great site which is well run by a very friendly couple and in a good location. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if we were visiting this area again

Nice site but disturbed nights sleep

Lovely site and very welcoming Wardens but sleep disturbed when chimes from the local church rang every quarter of an hour throughout the night. Perhaps we were just unlucky with the direction of the wind transporting the sound our way.

Cheddar stay

Really nice and very helpful wardens. Pitches are good and the site is in walking distance to the Gorge. The path just outside the site, leading to the village, is a bit of a dog toilet. The football club training nights and socials can be loud and the floodlights annoying but not enough to put you off.

Beautifull Chedder

Excellent site wardens are so on the ball with everything you can see they take pride in their site.Nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are clean and tidy and the pitches are generous and well looked after. There is loads to visit from site Chedder Gorge is on the doorstep. A short car journey takes you to Wells ,Wookey Hole caves and Glastonbury also a place called Street which has the Clarks shoe museum there and a retail outlet site both are worth a visit. For motorhome users you can get a weekly bus pass and go all over even to Bath and Bristol .you will never get board on this site , can't wait for next visit

Convenient location with lots of good eateries nearby

This was our fourth visit here - we love it and great that you can easily walk to the pubs and restaurants in Cheddar. The Bath Arms Hotel do amazing food, and close to Wells and Wookey Hole and of course some delicious cheese to be eaten!

Superb location.

We stayed on this site for two nights as a break on our way down to Cornwall, wish we had stayed longer...... What a lovely location, spotless site, excellent facilities, friendly wardens could not fault anything. Everything you need is within walking distance of the site, shops, pubs, cafes, resteraunts and the Gorge. Highly recommend.

Football noise

This is a very nice sight well looked after. Clean and tidy grounds and facilities. Well situated for sightseeing in Cheddar and Wells. There is noise from the football club just the other side of the hedge. Tuesday nights match was noisy especially the music from the speaker system. It did finish at just gone 10.00. Had we been warned we would have pitched the other side of the sight.
