Enjoyable stay

Modbury site is lovely. Clean and tidy and well looked after by the ever helpful wardens. There's plenty of room between each pitch and although it slopes in many places there's no problems with this.  The only problem we experienced was that children played around the toilet block on their scooters and bikes making it quite noisy in that area. Otherwise we had a lovely stay

Visit Modbury!

Been here a couple of years running now, excellent location for lots of wonderful days out along the coast line. Lovely people. Yes, the shower facilities are outdated, I use the stool provided to push the shower curtain away from me. However, they are lovely and clean, excellent shower pressure and heat plus you do NOT have to keep pushing a button in - which I HATE! Just take the road in slow, it's narrow, but so is most of Devon. There are loads of passing places, don't be put off.  Lets keep this cute little well kept and beautiful site going!

Modbury

Have just had a week at Modbury and found it a lovely well kept site with very welcoming wardens. Toilet block not the newest, but immaculate with really good showers (pressure and heat!). We were surprised to hear that bookings were down year on year with the thinking that people were put off by comments on the site review that the approach roads make access difficult. If you come to this part of Devon most roads are pretty narrow anyway, but this is not a difficult site to access with a caravan (even a big one) ..... don't be put off going there!

Beautiful

My husband and myself have not had a proper holiday for many years, because we have so many dogs (4). We found this site particularly helpful polite, and understanding. The staff where very understanding ( UNLIKE SOME CC SITES) and this made our holiday even more of a pleasure . The grounds are keep beautiful, and everywhere is lovely and clean. A lovely dog walking area, well done Modbury, we will be back. Thank you

Holiday at Modbury

We have just returned from a holiday at Modbury it is a smashing site with very helpful wardens nothing was too much trouble for them. The facilities were kept immaculately clean and the site itself very tidy. We would not hesitate to recommend this site to highly, however the approach roads are very narrow in places and need very careful driving apart from this a very good site. Brian and Jackie Anderson

Modbury CC Site

We stayed at Modbury for 1 night before travelling onwards to Brittany via Plymouth. A lovely clean site, with welcoming hosts. Recommended for a relaxing quiet stay. The roads down to the site off the A38 were quite narrow and not for the feint hearted!

Well maintained, peaceful, clean with good facilities

We stayed here from the 1st July for seven nights. We received a very warm welcome, with good information and advice . The pitches are of very good size and very well kept. The staff were helpful and cheerfull at all times. There is a lot to do and see in the area, we especially liked the beautiful dog friendly beaches and pubs, the Loddiswell Inn have a half price steak night on a Thursday, the food was delicious. This was only one of many pubs that we visited to enjoy some great food.

Clean well run site

Clean well run site with friendly wardens plus excellent location for local walks centred on Modbury, one of which you can start from the site. BUT having recently visited two other sites nearby that both have updated toilet/shower facilities I have to say that I was disappointed with the the one block here. It was clean and well looked after but desperately needs to be brought up to date. Felt I was back in the last century! You also need to keep your nerve during the approach from the A 38.

Excellent site for exploring North Devon

We stayed here while visiting family nearby and found the site well placed for this. We also visited Bigbury on Sea which is a lovely beach which welcomes dogs on one side of the beach, which is the side which leads to the pub which can be accessed at high tide. A bit difficult to find on the narrow lanes.

Banter at Modbury !!

Smashing site, very clean and well maintained. Warden and assistant wardens great to talk to about anything and everything. Really enjoyed banter with fab assistant warden. Always most helpful. Access road to site can be a little tricky at times in the most narrow bits but don't let that put you off. Well cared for, superb site. We will return!!
