Adequate site a short distance from historic Conwy, great views

Eirianws Farm
We stayed three nights while visiting Conwy and Llandudno - both really interesting and enjoyable. I learnt a lot about the site from other reviews so was prepared for Mr Roberts to call in for payment the first evening (and he did come to our caravan). The weather was fine during our stay and we appreciated the scenic views over the countryside with many birds of interest. Site facilities were adequate, the hardstanding was as described by others, slate chippings which were no problem dry but stuck to shoes when wet. The rubbish situation was confusing - there were several recycling bins at the entrance, but no clear general refuse bin, only a large wheelie with recycling printed on the side.

A lovely week

Eirianws Farm
We stayed at the Roberts' other site Caerhun back in August but found this one much better. It felt more secure, being further away from the road up a twisting approach drive, and quieter too. It is the view which makes this place, surrounded by sheep with a lovely valley below, a view to snow-topped mountains (it was December!) with the cafe at the top of the Great Orme visible on clear days. I know what the reviewer who commented on Mr Roberts not getting out of his vehicle means, because the same happened with us, in both sites, and yes the slate chippings on the hardstandings do get walked into the van. This is why I have only given four stars overall, and for the welcome. On the whole however we much preferred it here, and would return in future.

Change to access

Eirianws Farm
For past regulars .. beware .. there is a new road into the site .. As you enter from the main road there is a new track to the right .. it is marked, but I 'knew' where I was going and just didn't see it .. I went straight up thhe yard, round the barn and the end of the houses to find the road closed .. Had to reverse out .. (not easy when you are solo) Site as beautiful as ever

Fantastic views

Eirianws Farm
A nice quiet CL , situated at the back of a farm which looks to now be holiday cottages but these do not overlook the CL. Excellent approach & entrance just off the main road , but tucked around the back , so road noise was minimal. Large, hard standing pitches, which all had amazing views from the front & rear . Good tv reception also. The one fresh water tap had low pressure, but this gives you time to soak in the fantastic surrounding views. The Elsen point is basic but adequate, & it’s tap’s pressure is pretty low also. There is a large wheelie / skip for rubbish , but I didn’t see any recycling . Stones throw of National park, The coast including Conwy in one direction, & Llanwrst & Betws y Coed in the other. Surf centre is just down the road. There is a lovely pub nearby called the Groes Inn, it is walkable but is down hill & the footpath isn’t the best. This CL doesn’t accept dogs but there is another CL which is a walled garden that the owners also have , that allows dogs. Payment was made when the owners stop by in their 4x4. Departure was 12pm.

great little site

Eirianws Farm
We stayed here from the 13th July for 5 nights, the views are beautiful overlooking the mountains. the site is hardstanding and plenty of room between caravans. There is hand sanitiser near the water tap and Elson point. TV reception was good. We were visited a few times by Mr and Mrs Roberts to make sure all was well. The site is well situated for Conwy town 5 mins away and Bodnant gdns 10 mins away. We would recommend this site for all, lovely views and peaceful.
