Winter Break

Stopped here for a few days away over thye New Year period. Great location, with lots of walking to be done on the doorstep. We walked to Conwy on 2 of the days via different routes, had a few beers, then caught the bus back. Really nice views from all of the pitches, which were all hardstanding. (ideal in wintertime) The owner visited the site each day, which adds a degree of security. Perfect location to get away from it all. Would have liked to have recycling bins. (we ended up taking our recycling stuff back home with us) Will definately return for another visit.

What views

Brilliant location with easy access to Conwy, Llandudno. Bodnant Gardens etc. The view from the site was wonderful with the top of the Great Orme in the distance. Good welcome from the owner who does not live on site but came to make sure we were OK. Three nights were not enough to do justice to this site we visited at the end of July 2018.

Great site

Stayed here in March for 11 nights, great site in great location with very friendly welcome. The pitches are all hard standing and level with great views down the valley towards the great orme. Only 3 miles south of Conwy and easy route into Llandudno. There is a good RSPB reserve just down the road. Had a great time watching all the new born lambs all around the site. Going back end of May as really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this site for the peace and quiet and great location.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times!

If you want to visit this part of Wales, do it from here. Views to die for, all the way to Great Orme. Peace and quiet. No facilities, you will have to use your own. No dogs, suited us. Local pub, good food need to book for weekends, 5 mins downhill, 10 back! Worst weather, but then some great days. Penryn Castle is a must for eccentricity and enjoyment. We drove to site going through wall of Conwy Castle and was the worst moment of my caravan towing life! If you turn right out of site and drive for a couple of miles there is a bridge over river to avoid this. Also you pass Bodnant Gardens which are great. Food in cafe excellent. Look on google maps for layout of site and be very careful when driving past steps of farm building, very easy to do and very easy to get wrong. Lastly there are four pitches all in a row with the fifth pitch making an L shape. Please if you pitch on this one be considerate dont't spoil the view for your neighbour.

HIdden Gem of a site

We visit this site at least twice a year - it is an easy drive from our home in Shrewsbury. Stunning location with wonderful views and very quiet. Convenient for the North Wales coast - Conwy and Llandudno are only a few minutes drive away and LLanwrst (where you can get the best curry meal in Wales in my view), Betws-y-Coed and snowdonia are within easy reach. Very helpful owners who also run another very good  CL further down the road.
