Wow!

This site is in a superb walking area with great views from the site itself!  Within five minutes walking from the site we saw three deer.  If you can cope without toilets and showers, then this site is a must.  There is a good information shed with loads of videos to hire.  Unfortunately there is very limited tv reception.

Lovely little site in an ideal location

Like other reviewers, I have given low marks for facilities and 'good for families' purely because there are no shower blocks/toilets or play-areas and the site is a good few miles from the nearest towns and villages. If you're happy without the shower block and want peace and quiet, this place is a real gem! Set in stunning countryside, beautifully kept and ran by very friendly, helpful wardens. After one visit we decided to put our caravan in storage here and have booked as many weekends on pitches as my diary will allow. The dog walk is short but the location means there is miles of countryside as well as plenty of local pubs and other establishments that are dog-friendly right on the doorstep. Perfect!

Excellent location

This site is in an excellent location for visiting places in the Cotswolds. The site itself is peaceful and well maintained - not so suitable for families with children - but ideal for adults, even without a toilet block. The wardens were so friendly, they made the whole site feel relaxed. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely site for a quiet break

First time out with our new motorhome having been away from caravanning for 16 years and every great memory of club sites came flooding back!  Being a small site without toilet blocks, even a bank holiday weekend seemed calm. The site has a mix of level and slightly sloping grass and hard standing pitches, which were all in tip top condition, we had one of the grass pitches on the upper tier, giving views out over the open countryside.  Although conveniently located for visiting the many attractions of the Cotswolds, the Bourton site is well out of town and requires the use of your vehicle for pretty much any outing.  That said, we didn't have problems parking our 6.6mtr motorhome anywhere.  Bourton town centre car park has designated MH bays, and the fascinating Nat Trust property, Chastleton House, had oodles of space, likewise Sudeley Castle.  The wardens were friendly and helpful, particularly in plotting a route to the site which avoided the closure of the road through a serious accident.  Would certainly visit again.

Lovely little site

Great little site for a short stay, good walking for the dog, very friendly, quiet and relaxing and nicely kept. Didn't realise there was no toilet/shower block when we booked, but wouldn't stop us going again. Felt really welcome and easy access to the Cotswold villages, sites and amenities.
