Only four stars for peace and quiet as some road noise from the fast road at times but no big deal.
Only four stars for facilities and cleanliness because no toilet block, but didn't bother us, otherwise spotless.
Wardens hard working and pleasant.
Just had eight days here and really enjoyed it
Wonderful, peaceful site
We just visited this site for one night over a weekend for a quick break and were delighted with it. Yes, it may not be great for children, as others have stated, but this suited us well and made for a quiet, tranquil stay. The distance from B-on-the-W itself can be an issue if you are a motorhomer, don't want to move your unit, and are planning to use the bus service to the town. It can be hit and miss on a Saturday. Luckily we had a car with us too and we were glad we did. The town is lovely but was heaving with other visitors across our particular weekend so don't expect it to be peaceful in good weather!
We were pleased to have a choice of pitch when we arrived at the site and the wardens were wonderfully friendly and helpful. They keep the site immaculate. We will be back, hopefully for longer next time, but again with the car!

Fantastic site
This is a lovely site in a lovely location.
Wardens are superb, going above and beyond to ensure everything is right for you and your visit.
Excellent dog walking nearby, bring good footwear. So peaceful and quiet, excellent base to explore the local area. Highly recommended, lack of toilet/shower block is the only minor negative.
Very nice but not for families
The staff were really lovely. I arrived slightly late after getting caught in M6 traffic.
I didn't realise there was no toilet block when I booked and as such am glad I didn't take the kids. It is a lovely small site and good location if you wish to visit the surrounding villages. I would definitely go again in the future minus the children as the lack of facilities would be an issue.
A Cotswold gem
Set in the heart of The Cotswolds this is an ideal site to use as a base for touring this AONB. As the former Notgrove railway station, the site is long and thin with some of the pitches being easier to reverse onto than others. The lack of a toilet and shower block may serve to put some off but this setback is far outweighed by the charm, peace and tranquility of this friendly small site. It goes without saying that the staff are friendly and accommodating as always, with advice and help where necessary. I would not recommend it to a family with younger children who would be considering staying on site without touring the famous Cotswold villages with their distinctive stone colour and look as the children may find the lack of a play area rather boring. Ideal for the more adventurous nature lovers, cycling and wildlife watching are a must. Every morning we were awoken at first light with a magical dawn chorus. Only the more common garden birds but a delight to the ear if not the eye. Do not expect too much from the small on-site shop but there are supermarkets within ten miles. For those who just want to enjoy the beautiful scenery this is a must. T.V. reception is excellent using a booster lead for those possibly wet evenings. Recommended for the more mature this is a restful, relaxing and tranquil area for a break.
Nice tidy small site
A nice clean and well maintained site but a little tight. It is a very small site with no amenities (as per description) so okay for a long weekend. Location is handy for visiting the numerous local attractions. There is not much space anywhere on site and depending on where you pitch it can also be a challenge as there is no option but to reverse blind side due to a number of pitches being on a dead end roadway. Dog walk is pleasant enough and leads to public pathway and fields.
Cotswold gem
Great little site. We were met on arrival and shown a a couple of vacant pitches whilst the car in front of us were in the office doing the paperwork. It's a lovely well looked after site that's a credit to the owners. It's a ten minute drive into Bourton and set back from the main road so is nice and quite. There is no toilet or shower block but then we knew that when we booked. Ideal for a weeks stay or a nights stopover. Enjoy.
Lovely country site
We had not visited this site before, but were pleased with its location and country setting, including the lovely sound of birds singing. It is not a large site, but we were fortunate to be able to pitch on a hardstanding. Due to the recent wet weather, the lovely grass pitches were vulnerable to damage. The wardens were cheerful, friendly and helpful at all times.
It would not be an ideal family site, as there are no facilities, but ideal for us retired folk!
The area is very pretty and the places to visit from here are numerous to suit all tastes. It may be advantageous to install more hardstandings to suit the British weather. We would cheerfully recommend this site, bearing in mind our comments and will be happy to visit again.
Friendly Wardens
We always enjoy staying at this sight as it is so peaceful The last wardens were at Bourton on the Water for some time and were excellent, we were disappointed to be told they had retired but the wardens who have taken over were great, very friendly and helpful I have put a low mark for Good for families as I think most families with children would need toilet facilities and most probable a play ground but then the site would lose its charm

Great week in Bourton
We had a great week here. Marked the facilities down only because no toilet block, but we knew that and have our own bathroom/shower we always use. VERY clean and quiet site, well located for access to some very picturesque local villages. Site staff were VERY helpful and friendly throughout. Would highly recommend.
