A planned closure of Brampton Road (from the junction of Longleigh Lane to Woolwich Road) is scheduled to start on November 10 for four weeks due to roadworks.
The safest route to the site would now be: Head down Longleigh Lane, turning left onto Bostall Hill until you reach the first set of traffic lights, turn right down Basildon Road (B213) which merges onto McCleod Road, continue until you reach the roundabout, take 3rd exit and take 2nd right onto Federation Road before turning left into Site.

Great news - a newly refurbished facilities block opened in July, along with other key improvements, including the play area. Phase two improvements are planned to begin on 29 October 2025 when one of the three facilities blocks will be closed for refurbishment with the site remaining open throughout the works. Some pitch improvements and entrance works will be undertaken to facilitate the introduction of an ANPR entry system The work is planned to be completed by mid April. Due to drainage works Station Road, Ashwell will be closed from Monday 8 to Friday 19 December. There will be no access between 9:30-16:00. Please follow the diversion signs to get to the site.

Improvements to the water system in the toilet block will be carried out on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 December. There will be reduced facilities on Wednesday 10 December. Noise and disruption will be kept to a minimum where possible.

Due to the deer rutting season, Forestry England will close the gate at the top of Aldridge Hill (access road to site) from end September through to 4 January 2026. Entry is only permitted to CAMC site guests. Please open the gate and ensure you close it behind you before continuing on to our campsite.

Chef Philippe is going to be cooking a Festive Menu from the 24 December to 1 January. It is a 4 course menu - £32, which can be ordered when guests arrive on site.

The first phase of the £2.5 million investment in improving our hugely popular Edinburgh Club Campsite is complete and one of the refurbished facility blocks will reopen ahead of schedule on 16 August 2024. Phase two improvements are also scheduled for autumn/winter/spring 2024/2025 with the site remaining open throughout operating on the one new facilities block. If you are due to arrive on a Sunday, please be aware that the Racecourse holds a car boot sale on Sundays at 1pm. Arrival after this time is advised as there are often queues on the A38.

Following the installation of the upgraded Wi-Fi at this campsite, there have been some technical issues which are affecting the quality of the Wi-Fi on the Kettlegrove side of the site. The provider continues to work on this and we hope to have it resolved soon. In the meantime, access to Wi-Fi may be limited.

Necessary work to trees and hedges on site will be taking place until 15 December. There is likely to be noise disruption whilst this work is carried out.

Part of the play area at this site is closed for repair.

Roadworks at Cotley Hill Roundabout, outside Heytesbury, on the A36 will result in overnight road closures between 3-28 November and 1-12 December. Full weekend closures will be on 14-17 November, 21-24 November and 28 November - 1 December. To avoid diversions via smaller roads, join A303 and take A350 North after Chicklade (from the East) or Mere (from the West).

Longleat Safari Park is holding its Festival of Light event from 8 November to 11 January (Longleat Campsite closes on 4 January). The Festival of Light is an extremely popular event and dates can and do sell out. For full details, to check event availability and to purchase tickets please see The Festival of Light 2025/26.

The nearest petrol station to the site is 'Gulf Lix Toll Fuel Express' but has no petrol or diesel available until further notice. Alternative fuel stations are located in Callander (23 miles from site), Aberfeldy (22 miles from site) and Tyndrum (19 miles from site).

Due to the close proximity of the river there is a possibility that the site may flood during periods of heavy and persistent rain. This could result in the site being evacuated and closed at short notice. For the most up to date information on site status in prolonged wet weather, please call the site team on 01567 820245.

This campsite has electric Smart Metering, which means electricity is excluded from the cost of your pitch. Unfortunately we have essential electrical works due to be carried out on site during the week commencing 29 September. As a result we may experience short outages of up to 2 hours across periods of the week.

Roadworks are taking place on the A382 until approximately September 2027. The roadwork signage advises that the A382 is closed but you can still access the site entrance via the A382 as the road closure is further down the road towards Newton Abbot.

Following periods of prolonged and heavy rainfall, river levels may rise causing the tributary to occasionally breach. The access road to site can then become inaccessible and the site might be affected by flooding during these events. There will be minor works going on in the toilet blocks on the week commencing 17 November. This will involve temporary toilet block closures. However, there will always be one toilet block open.

Notice to dog owners: Incidents of dogs falling ill following a visit to the woodland on the Sandringham Estate can be reported between the months of August and November. This is not specific to the Club site but dog owners should be aware and take precautions when visiting the woodland area around the site. The Jockey Club are holding Christmas events on 6, 11, 12, 13 and 19 December to celebrate the seasonal festivities. These events sell out quickly so, if you are booked to stay on our campsite and would like to join the festivities one evening, please see Warwick Racecourse Jockey Club. You may hear the music and celebrations from these events on our campsite into the late evening.

We are currently undertaking essential maintenance and upgrades to the drainage systems, septic tanks, and cesspits. This vital work ensures the long-term, efficient functionality of our facilities for all guests. We apologise for any disruption and localised odours that may occur from time to time. The one way system may have to be changed at times, please follow site roadway guidance from the site team.

Winchester's famous Christmas Market, considered one of the best in Europe, is held in the grounds of the 11th century Cathedral in the city centre from 21 November through to 22 December. A bus departs from outside the site entrance and it's just a 10 minute ride into the City Centre. See Visit Winchester for more information.

Nearby Marwell Zoo is holding its Winter light event (plus Santa's Grotto) on selected dates between 28 November-3 January. Glow Marwell is a popular event and dates do sell out. For details, availability and to purchase tickets go to Glow Marwell.

All Ferry Pitches and a small number of Hardstanding-without-awning pitches are located on the site's Upper Level and the toilet and washroom facilities on this level are closed over winter. Please use the facilities on the Lower Level which are open as normal.

The County Council are now enforcing No Parking on Station Road outside our site. Please do not arrive and park outside the site before 1pm as you may be issued a parking ticket.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated within York Flood Defense boundaries. If river levels rise, the Environmental Agency close the flood barriers to protect local housing. When the Environmental Agency take the decision to activate the defense it is often at short notice and York Rowntree site has to be evacuated. The access road to the site is inaccessible and the site is also likely to be affected by flooding during these events. Before you travel to site, please call the sites Flood Advice line on 01904 593791 for the latest information.
