Why stay here ...

Heathfield is a quiet family run, flat 5 acre site. We are located 2 miles from Chester and are in an ideal location for visiting all North West major attractions. Pets are welcome. We are an adult only site.

Chester is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain, with the amphitheatre, River Dee and the Roodee Race Course. Other local attractions include Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks, Blue Planet Aquarium, The Crocky Trail, Delamere Forest, Ellesmere Port Boat Museum, Anderton Boat Lift, Salt Museum and the Shire Horse Centre. The cycle path that runs into Chester and further on to the Dee Estuary is situated directly opposite the site and the bus service into the city is 100 yards away. For those wanting to go further afield we are 1 mile away from the motorway network M56/53 and A55.

Manchester, Liverpool and Llandudno are all approximately a 45 minute drive. Chester Railway station has regular trains to these destinations.

There are many places to dine nearby including the village pub, The Bird in Hand which is a 15 minutes walk.

Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Aldi and Spar supermarkets are all a short drive away.

Appleologies for the title.

Heathfield
Just had a fantastic 4 nights at the orchard. What a beautiful place. We had a wonderful welcome from Jane and Phil on what was supposed to be the hottest day of the year. It was warm but the last night was 9 degrees, what a change. It didn't dampen our spirits though. An easy 2.5 mile walk to Chester. A bit of road noise but we have ear plugs and believe me, the rain drowned out the sound of the road on Monday night. Sorry we missed you when we left and it's worth visiting in September, the apples were literally falling off the trees.

Peaceful & Relaxing Site

Heathfield
Stayed at the end of June only for one night while travelling through the area. But will definitely go again. Great site, beautiful surroundings our dogs enjoyed quietly watching the bunnies in the adjoining field for hours, while we relaxed in the sunshine with them.xx Lovely friendly hosts Phil & Jane very welcoming. We found a good footpath /cycle path(dissused railway) that can take you into Chester. Didn't have time to do it so will need to return. The site has the added benefit of WC. Being near the A55 is not a problem for noise, still peaceful. Hope to see you again. x

Lovely Site and location, such a shame it changed to Adults Only.

Heathfield
Me my wife and Son stayed here quite a while back. The site is easy access and great for cycling in to Chester. There is some noise from the A55 but not enough to bother us. I would love to go back but sadly it appears they have made it adults only. Hopefully this is something they will change as the site has ample of space for both children to play and adults to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Brilliant site, low cost and perfect for easy access to Chester

Heathfield
Visited in last few days with our 2 dogs and 1 hour walk down cycle way to the centre of Chester. Welcoming owners, perfect simple site at low price. Close to Chester bypass so some road noise but gave no concern. Will be returning.
