Fantastic

We booked here for 9 days but due to my husband having a knee injury we stayed for three weeks. We were in the natural part of the site and our pitch was huge plenty big enough for our 8m caravan. The staff were incredibly helpful, and this was observed on a few occasions. The pool is lovely and our pitch was in between the lake and the pool. The lake gets very busy at the weekend. There was a brand new toilet block onsite which was always clean. The site also had a lovely pizza restaurant and they also own a restaurant just off site that we also visited. I would not recommend this site for children over 7 as there is not enough to do. We would not hesitate to return. Our only gripe was the cost of tolls between the site and Annecy it was £130. The tunnel is 60 Euro to get into France.

Disappointing Stay

Myself and partner stayed at this site in July 2019, and I have to admit is was rather disappointing. Be careful if booking throug the Caravan club, as the descrition is not accurate. Firstly there is nothing special about the Special pitches, as we assumed these were the Superior pitches as on the offical website, but turned out to standard pitches. Booking direct gets you a better pitch for less than booking on the Caravan club website. Also for the 8 nights we were there (should of been 9 but left a day early) we never managed to get more than 10amps so do not bother paying for the 16amp pitches. Also the pitch descriptions state pitches are seperated by hedges - they are not and you are completely surrounded on both sides and behind you with zero privacy. Unless you are lucky to get one of the three green pitches at the front do not expect a view of the lake, or any view apart from your neighbour. We have a 7.8M long motorhome which just fitted onto the pitch, so beware if you have anything larger as you will not get on. On the plus side access to the site is good, and they make a good pizza!

Response from the Club:

Thank you for your comments regarding the site - We have changed the description to trees rather than hedges to avoid confusion. Our SP description always means that these pitches have more amenities than the standard pitch on the site and varies from site to site. In this case the difference is in the 16 amp for the SP pitch. The site reassures us that the pitches in the mature part of the site do have 16amps available. Our pricing is always competitive and we offer a price match guarantee for our holidays. As the other review states, the pitches in the new part of the site are larger than in the established mature part of the site closer to the pool and restaurant facilities.
