Dreadful Site

Very wet when we arrived and difficult to find the pitch, it was at the end of a small dead end road and the car had to go onto the pitch before the caravan could be maneuvered on using the mover. The pitch was on a serious slope and required the front legs and jockey wheel to be lifted using blocks, the rear of the van was on the ground. The pitch was muddy with at least 18 items of rubbish lying around and piles of dead leaves even though it was Easter. I was approached by a man wanting to scrounge a cigarette and there were two abandoned cars, one on the pitch next to us and one on the road near our pitch. When I contacted reception to complain about the pitch they said they allocated them at random and I could have gone on any empty pitch when I arrived but they did not tell me that before I pitched. On departure I had to use the 4wd mover to get off the pitch and reverse down the road and onto another area before I could hook up, had a crowd of spectators taking pictures and videos. The only good thing about this site is it’s proximity to Paris and the shuttle bus, not free, to the metro.
