Brilliant first time in france

Had a fantastic 2 weeks on this site 11-25 august 23, never been abroad with the caravan we were really nervous but absolutely had a brilliant time! The staff were brilliant and always happy to help with everything you needed. They were able place our joint parties together My granddaughter needed a doctor visit while we were there and the reception staff helped by arranging the appointment for us! Fabulous facilities for all ages! Took my 81 year old mum and she really enjoyed the walk to collect fresh bread and croissants every morning from reception! Circus came to the site amazing! Grandkids had a blast in the pool and the activities they were able to do! Pony rides, mini disco and markets on site. Resturant was well worth a visit and they made my granddaughters birthday really special! Plenty to do off site visited the little markets in the nearby towns. Highly recommended for all ages. Can't wait to go back.

A lovely site

This was our first time at this campsite and we found it to be a lovely site even at the end of the season! The pitches have EHU, water and drainage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great with plenty to do. The region is very interesting with a lot of historical sites within easy reach of the site. We will definitely be going back. Thank you to all the staff for everything they do to make the campsite so wonderful.

A Pleasant Site

We stayed here in early July 23. This was the second time we have stayed at this site (first in 2017). The welcome staff were very helpful and took the time to learn your name. The pitches are good, well cared for, but not very big, ie an adequate size. EHU is close by and water and grey waste were on the pitch. Toilet disposal is close to reception faily central to the site. Roads around the site are generally good but there are some tight corners and dead ends. Generally the pitches do not enjoy distant views. There is a small shop on site and bread etc can be ordered for the next day. The pool is good and was popular with families. We did not use the onsite bar or restaurant. The site is a good location for St Malo, Dinon, Dinard, The nearest town with shops Combourg, 10 mins by car. Cycling in the area is good as the roads are quiet and there is a nearby canal path which is very popular for cyclists.

Second Visit

We stayed here as a couple for 5 nights at the end of June beginning of July. The site is easy to find and access. We had stayed here once before in 2018 and found that not much had changed since then. This is not a criticism as the pitches and facilities had retained their good standards. Only one issue we were not completely happy with and that is the mixed toilet block which seems unnecessary with the facilities they have. We found the staff helpful and friendly at all times and certainly had no issues with any of them. We would recommend the on site restaurant and snack bar and enjoyed the meals we had from them. Combourg with supermarkets and filling stations is about a 10 minute drive away. The site is well placed for visiting the surrounding area and we easily visited Dinan, Dol de Bretagne and Mount Don, St Suliac, Cancale and St Malo. All in all we would happily stay here again if in the area.

Fantastic site

We booked this site as our very first caravan trip to europe. We were not disappointed.. The trip was booked as a package through the club together with the ferry and 'red pennant plus 'insurance which also covers air travel. Everything ran like clockwork. The site was fantastic in every way. I have seen criticism of the staff mentioned below and can say they were all really nice. The manager does her job in the same way as any other hotel manager and worked very long hours toiling in all departments covering different roles. The site is located within easy reach of many tourist locations and the are supermarkets in nearby Combourg. This is a well run site and we will be returning next year...

Lovely stay and a site which would be particularly good for families

Our fist overseas visit since buying our caravan and one of the few in France who were open in early - mid September. It's a great site in a very pretty location with great staff. There are some very unfortunate and unfounded criticisms of the new manager on TripAdvisor - ignore them she is very helpful. She clearly, as she did when we were there, does not hold back from telling from stupid British (not club members I am sure) who decide to take glasses around the pool area and dive into a 5' deep pool, that the rules are there for everyone's safety and enjoyment. My only criticism of this site is that I feel there are two few facilities and I could easily see queues forming in the high season. I am also not keen on mixed facilities but it's France and at least the have toilets these days. Give it a try you'll enjoy it.

worth the wait.

We arrived on 01.06.22 after choosing the site back in 2019. A brilliant choice, We love to explore and there was so much to see within easy reach, Mont St Michel was the furthest away and that took less than an hour to drive to, we loved every minute of our stay, the marvelous chateau ,walled towns, and fun land trains, the views were stunning and we saw so much wildlife. The site was splendid and could not fault the staff. We would definitely love to stay there again except we now want to explore other parts of Brittany and France. We had the best time and would like to thank everyone involved. The wait, imposed by covid was forgotten and we loved it. Extremely good facilities and plenty for families to do and we saw several people who stayed on site all day overall something for everyone.

Amazing stay as always

We have stayed at this site 5 or 6 times now and it never disappoints. The site is easy to find and well laid out with brilliant facilities. Marine and her team at reception are very helpful, cheerful and friendly. Reception was closed when we arrived so we found our own pitch and advised reception later than day which pitch we are on. Pitches are large and flat and fully serviced. Some pitches do have mature trees overhanging, so you can get pelted by acorns when the wind gets up a bit. The pool is a generous size and heated with many comfortable sun loungers to soak up the sun. There is an onsite gym, a games room, bouncy castle, trampoline, bar, restaurant, petanque pitch - too many facilities to name The onsite restaurant is not the cheapest but the quality is amazing. There is a super market, fuel etc all available in Combourg which is around 5 miles away. Croissants, bread etc can be ordered from reception onsite the previous day. St Malo port is around a 30 minute drive away, Rennes is around 30 minutes away and Nantes is an hour and a half away. This is a fantastic campsite and we will definitely be back - it thoroughly deserves every single one of its 5 stars.

Lovely site and area - what more could you ask for

This was the 1st of 3 sites booked through the Caravan Club. What a great start to our holiday. We'd wanted to be able to explore the St Malo area having previously just got on or off a ferry for other parts of France. Domaine du Logis is set in lovely countryside. The staff were very friendly and amazingly seemed to remember everyone's name! Pitches are a good size and how nice to have electricity, water and drainage available on each. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and although we didn't use it the pool area looked well kept and was proving great fun for families. We enjoyed our 4-night stay, so don't just get the ferry to/from St Malo but have a stop at Domaine du Logis and explore the area too.
