We have just spent a week at this campsite and would most certainly recommend it. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival by the friendly and helpful staff, who showed us to our pitch and helped us to hook up to the electric. It was 35C degrees when we arrived, which is quite unusual for the area. What was a delightful surprise, however, was that the shower / toilet / washing block was air conditioned. This was just one of the thoughtful and high quality elements to this block, however. There are ceramic wash basins set in granite tops with Roca mixer taps. Shower heads are large rainshower ones; washing up sinks are butler-style with mixer taps; radio / music is played; fresh flowers are placed in the toilet area; a bathroom for small children / families is available ... everything has been carefully considered. It is quite possibly the best shower block we have ever seen! There are lots of taps around the site, meaning that you don't have to go too far for water. There are washing lines available, as well as several airers if you want to dry washing. The pitches are of a good size and mostly flat. There is a small shop / bar near the reception area. You can purchase fresh bread, local cheese, fresh and tinned goods from the shop. The bar serves snacks throughout the day. We tried the sandwiches which were freshly made and reasonably priced (€3.50-€4.00) and turned out to be half a baguette generously filled. The local village is beautiful with some striking buildings. There is a small supermarket in the next village (within reasonable walking distance) and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. There is access to the river from the back of the campsite and within a few minutes' walk you can be swimming and splashing in a lovely quiet part of the river, which is wonderful on a hot day! As others have said, take care when driving to the site if you are following SatNav, as some of the roads going into the village are narrow. Don't turn in until you see the Blue 'Camping' sign (by the Guardia Civil building) and then follow the blue signs towards the campsite. The site is in a valley, with some fairly high hills either side. This means that the sun does not hit the site until at least an hour after sunrise and disappears behind the hill an hour(ish) before sunset. Therefore, it can be quite damp in the morning with dew on the grass. Best not to leave towels out overnight to dry! All in all, this is a lovely site and we would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.
