Family of 5, x3 youngsters incl. toddler. The mostly downsides.... Put at very end of site in a cramped horrid located pitch with oak tree almost in middle of pitch. Cuts out almost all of sun most of the day. Asked to move that was declined as fully booked. Horrid beetles and lice like insects invaded us from tree at night and ritual of killing them very annoying. Noisy neighbours also didnt help make our stay anymore pleasant. Depressing local beach reminiscent of north sea estuary. Very few amenities. Zero surf, be warned go to hilliare or gilles or further. Ok for swimming in murky flat water or when tide is miles out for shell fish enthusiasts. Ventured a bit north to courance as well, no luck mostly marshlands and shipping lanes. Shop or rather extension to takeaway hut was limited, walked to town for food. Just a couple of ups... Local town was nice and market. Swimming pool onsite, not enough space or depth for a proper swim but great for the kids to lark about. Bar and takeaway food was good enough. Noirmoutier worth a visit. Booked for ten nights couldnt wait to leave for anywhere else quick enough, eventually got somewhere in st hilaire and left just after a few nights. Some bugs left with us !
