Probably a good place to stop for a couple of nights if travelling further afield such as Austria or Switzerland. River front location is nice for watching ships but not for using the river for leisure activities due to river traffic and cleanliness of water. Site is easily accessed and it’s staff are very helpful ( speaking good English ). If a river pitch is booked an extension cable is essential, always worth asking on arrival if your initial request to the club has been declined for a river pitch as there may be one available on arrival ( €7 a night additional charge ).Site has easy access to footpath and cycle way into a pretty town with lots to see and do. The nearby hymmer world and designer outlet are great for a shopping trip on a rainy day . It’s a piece full site but there is road, train and boat noise which you are positioned in the middle of. There’s a bar and restaurant onsite which is reasonably priced and access to the swimming pool next door is free and fantastic. Washing machine is tiny and €5, the recently modernised toilet block is fantastic however the other block is dated but fair play as they tell you that upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay there and would go back but only for a shorter stay.
