Day 1 – Arrival at Camping Aaregg (S02)
Settle in at the campsite then meet your fellow tourers and tour hosts for a welcome drink and meal at the site restaurant.
Day 2 – Visite Giessbach Falls
Take the boat across the lake and visit this stunning waterfall which flows over 14 different levels and over a distance of more than 500 metres down to Lake Brienz. We recommend treating yourself to a tea at the Grand Hotel and take in the unforgettable sight of the thundering falls from the hotel terrace.
Day 3 – Free day to explore more of the area at your leisure
There really is so much to do. If you like, you could visit the Ballenburg open-air museum for a truly authentic taste of rural Switzerland. Learn about its culture and history and enjoy some of the many handcraft demonstrations they do throughout the day.
Day 4 – Guided tour of the Schynige Platte Alpine Garden
Discover some local flora and fauna at this high-altitude garden where you can admire over 650 species of native plants as well as take in some breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountain peaks. Then, spend the afternoon exploring this wonderful region at your own pace.
Day 5 - Day at leisure
Today is free to do as you choose. One option available to you is to make the most of your Regional Pass and take the train to the lakeside city of Lucerne for the day.
Day 6 – Day trip to Gruyères
Enjoy this coach excursion to Gruyères, where you will embark on a guided tour of the town and its 13th Century castle which has been home to a long succession of Counts of Gruyères! In the afternoon, you will have a guided visit of the Maison du Gruyère factory where this famous cheese is produced. You will then get the chance to taste some of this wonderful cheese with an aperitif to finish off the day.
