Just perfect!

Ham Farm
We've been lucky enough to stay at this beautiful, tranquil and beautifully maintained gem of a site for the last 2 weeks in between house moves - we'll be sad to leave tomorrow Owner Phil offers the warmest of welcomes and is helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the locality - he provided a detailed map of the area too. The site is peacefully situated next to a gently flowing stream with a little beach and a picnic bench close by. The huge wildflower meadow has thoughtfully mown footpaths through it and across a couple more fields to Holcombe Village where there's a lovely Farm Shop/Cafe/Bar - I'd say a 10 to 15 minute flat walk. We feel privileged to have been able to stay here - thank you.

Lovely peaceful site

Ham Farm
Very well maintained, peaceful & relaxing site. Welcoming and informative owner lent as an OS map of the surrounding area. Our dog loved swimming in the stream from the small beach. Nice level pitches. We stayed 2 nights and wish it could have been longer.

Great site & Best wildflower meadow ever

Ham Farm
Beautifully kept site; welcoming and extremely helpful owner; lovely stream with access for dogs and children to paddle from a little beach; picnic tables; the most orchids and other wildflowers I think you’d find anywhere! Literally thousands of orchids- so pretty. Owner Phil has mowed through the middle and all around the edge of the meadow (which I reckon is at least 3 acres) which makes a lovely walk with (or without) a dog! There is lots to do locally: the interesting market towns of Frome and Shepton Mallet, both of which have nice parks for adults, dogs and children alike. And of course, there is the beautiful cathedral city of Wells and the city of Bath. Not too far away is the amazing Cheddar Gorge and caves. Just a short walk from the site is a pub/restaurant/café and farm shop. There is a Co-op in the nearby village of Coleford. Great CL either just to rest and unwind, enjoy the local walks or visiting the many attractions of this part of Somerset.

Lovely well kept site

Ham Farm
We booked a 5 night stay to use a gift of afternoon tea on the East Somerset Railway. We were met on arrival by Phil the owner, what a nice chap, he was extremely helpful and supplied us with a local OS map pointing out local walks, pubs and a coffee shop. A nice stream on site with a man made sandy beach. Also a picnic bench was provided but unfortunately the weather was so awful we were not able to utilise the facilities on site or take advantage of the many local walks. Phil came round in the afternoon with excess produce from his allotment too - what a bonus, the home grown cucumbers were delicious, thank you Phil.

Very quiet and picturesque site

Ham Farm
We stayed one night only. As it had rained constantly for two days, the owner had suggested we park in the farmyard across the road from the CL, which we did. This also had ECU and water points, plus a chemical toilet dump facility. We enjoyed a very peaceful night and would happily have done some local walking (there are many footpaths) if it hadn’t been so wet. We were sorry not to see the owner who was in hospital on the day we visited.
