Great days out include the magnificent Sofiero Palace, where you can enjoy a wonderful cycle ride along the coast past the harbour and through the forest surrounding the Palace and its gardens.

In the ancient capital of Denmark, Roskilde, is the famous Viking museum and harbour where you can travel thousands of years back in time to see the old preserved Viking ships and watch them create new ones from scratch in the boatyard. You can even try your hand at rowing a longship or join in with the many workshops. The town also boasts a stunning medieval cathedral where 39 Danish kings and queens are buried, which is well worth a visit.
