Booking information

How do I book an overseas site?

Overseas site bookings can be made online or by phoning 01342 488 102. Discounts are common when you combine a site booking with your ferry.

Can I add campsites and crossings to my basket at the same time?

Yes, in fact it usually works out cheaper if you book your site booking with a ferry or Eurotunnel crossing as we have negotiated some package discounts.

Does the Club take deposits for overseas bookings?

You can choose to pay a £75 deposit on campsite bookings, if your departure date is over eight weeks away. The outstanding balance must be cleared eight weeks before travel.

How do I change my overseas site or ferry booking?

Please phone our Travel Service line on 01342 488 102 (Mon to Fri 9am to 5.30pm) and our operators will be able to help you with any changes you need.

Why does the total of my online basket keep changing?

As you add overseas sites to a Eurotunnel or ferry crossing, your basket recalculates any discounts that apply and displays the overall price of your holiday.

Will I receive tickets or booking confirmation for my overseas trip?

We don’t send tickets but you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of booking. Take this with you to present for your crossing and your stay on-site.

Ferries and Eurotunnel

Can I book a commercial van or motorhome towing a car/trailer on a ferry or Eurotunnel online?

You can only book by phone. Please speak to our Travel Service operators on 01432 488 102 who will be happy to help.

Is it cheaper to book a ferry crossing via the Caravan and Motorhome Club, instead of going direct to the operator?

Yes, we will match or beat fares offered direct from ferry operators. You can compare prices online or by phone.

How do I get the cheapest ferry fare?

Generally, short crossings are cheaper but prices will vary depending on your criteria. Add your site to your basket first to see the best rates. Ferry offers are available too, including Overseas Site Night Vouchers and site package deals.

Does the Club offer flexible ferry fares?

All bookings made via the Club can be changed for a £20 Club amendment fee, plus any charges from the operator and/or increase in fare.

Does the Club own any overseas sites?

We work closely with over 250 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or manage any overseas sites.

Is the standard of overseas sites similar to that of the UK?

European sites are star-rated by local authorities and will have different standards and regulations to the UK. The Club's site inspectors ensure they are of a high standard for our members.

Do you have any campsites in non-European countries such as the USA, Australia, Canada or New Zealand?

Our overseas sites extend only to Europe, however we list telephone numbers and tourist office information for North America and Australasia. If you want to visit these countries with The Club, perhaps consider one of our worldwide tours.

Are there any local groups or rallies for members?

69 Caravan and Motorhome Club Centres run UK and overseas rallies throughout the year. Registration is free and can be done at any time during your membership.
