Our main UK Club campsite network consists of 150 locations across England, Scotland and Wales, all with detailed accessibility statements/guides so you know exactly what facilities there are before you arrive (see individual Club Site pages for these). Over half of the pitches on these sites are all-weather hardstanding, which not only makes them ideal for all-round use, but also suits wheelchairs and mobility scooters. We really pride ourselves on the quality of our facility blocks, the majority of which have accessible toilets/washrooms, while an increasing number additionally have inclusive bathrooms allowing our members to accompany a friend or family member who requires support, separate to the shared facilities.
A huge asset on our site network are our wonderful Site Staff. If you have a specific wish, like proximity to the facility block or a particularly quiet pitch, our Site Staff will do their best to accommodate you – it’s a good idea to let them know in advance of arrival, however. We can’t guarantee to meet all requests, but we’ll always try. Site Staff are also trained to provide support via Hidden Disabilities Sunflower and are Dementia Friendly.
Several of our Club Sites also provide glamping accommodation via our Experience Freedom brand. You might want to choose one of these if you’d like to holiday with friends or family who don’t have a leisure vehicle of their own. And at three sites, we have accessible glamping pods, ideal for disabled friends, or a great way to try out our campsite experience before choosing a leisure vehicle of your own.
We have an additional 29 Affiliated Sites (which we don’t run, but which offer similarly good standards), which extends our network further, including across the island of Ireland.
Is peace and tranquillity what you need? Our Certificated Locations might suit you. These miniature sites (maximum five leisure vehicles at a time) are often on working farms or other delightful places. We set the basic standards for these, but they’re run by their owners, so specific facilities will vary. If you need particular characteristics, do check before booking, but more and more of these are now miniature campsites with toilet facilities etc. With 2,100 to choose from, there’s always one nearby.
The following information applies to all Club owned campsites, please check the handbook for details of Affiliated Sites and Certificated Locations (CLs) that are not operated by us.
We have an access statement for every Club-owned campsite on the network and these are published on the campsite details pages and the Experience Freedom website for our glamping accommodation.
We have started to convert these guides into more detailed Accessibility Guides and will continue to do so, adding more valuable information to help you make informed decisions about whether a site is suitable for you.
These guides will take you through each campsite, giving information on slopes, door widths and floor surfaces, as well as information on the accessible bathrooms found on each site.
Every Club owned campsite with washroom facilities has an accessible bathroom accessed by a radar key. Any new campsite developments are also planned to include a separate accessible toilet. Most facility blocks also offer an ambulant shower and toilet as part of the main male and female facilities block. The majority of our accessible bathrooms are colostomy friendly, however few of our older facility blocks are not colostomy friendly at this time as we have been unable to add a new shelf.
We have been trialling some new pitch types in 2 locations to gather feedback before we roll out further. These are mobility-friendly accessible hardstanding or accessible serviced pitches (both with awning and electric) with easy access to the facilities block. They are a hardstanding reinforced grid pitch, the serviced version also benefits from drinking water and drainage (grey).
Currently we have pitches at The Sandringham Estate (one of each type) and Bridlington (one accessible hardstanding pitch). Pitches can be booked via the website/ app or by calling our friendly sites team.
On other sites our team are able to reserve a pitch for you near a service point or the facility block. You can request this yourself in the online booking system under Special requests, or call the site directly.

We recognise that not everyone is comfortable with a shared facility block and further to member research and feedback we have added an inclusive bathroom to the newly developed campsites from 2022 onwards and we now have over 25 sites with Inclusive bathrooms. We continue to review where else Inclusive bathrooms can be added and we are also reviewing the future design of facility blocks. Find out more about campsite redevelopments.
Inclusive bathrooms offer more privacy, may be quieter and offer the opportunity for our members to be able to accompany a friend or family member who requires support, but does not need to use the accessible bathroom. These bathrooms can also be used by families who can’t use the main facility block. As there is only one per site please only use this if you need to.
Reviews of our inclusive bathrooms include: "An excellent facility for people like myself with particular medical disorders which can make using shared facilities more difficult/embarrassing." and "The Inclusive bathroom was great when I was trying to wash small children on my own."
Inclusive bathrooms can be found at Abbey Wood, Black Knowl, Bridlington, Bunree, Buxton, Carnon Downs, Castleton, Cayton, Cheddar, Clumber Park, Coed-Y-Llwyn, Edinburgh, Godrevy, Haycraft, Hillhead Brixham, Hurn Lane, Lady Margaret's Park, New Forest, Pandy, Penrhos, Sandringham, Scarborough West Ayton, Sutton On Sea, Tewkesbury Abbey, Tredegar House, Troutbeck Head, Winchester Morn Hill and York Beechwood Grange Club campsites. While staying at other campsites please speak to Site Staff who will do their best to accommodate you.
We provide Incontinence bins in the Accessible bathrooms, Inclusive bathrooms, Family bathrooms and the Ambulant WC in each Club campsite facility block.
We welcome Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs on all Club campsites in our Reception Areas, Shower Blocks, on-site Bars and Restaurants and Serviced Accommodation. This includes Trainee Guide Dogs to support their training.
We are currently trialling Hearing Loops in some Club campsite receptions ensuring we find the one that is most suitable for our reception environment.
If you require oxygen or other medical supplies whilst you are staying on Club Campsites, you must be on site to accept the delivery and arrange collection before departure. Please ensure your booking will accommodate this.
In 2020 we signed up with ‘Sunflower Non-visible Disabilities’. All of our staff on Club owned campsites, pop up campsites and show stands have been trained to recognise the symbol and offer you their support. Find out more about Sunflower.
As part of our Hidden Disabilities work, In 2025 we became a Dementia Friendly organisation. We offered all our staff awareness training to enable them to be more aware of Dementia and some of the challenges it can bring. Like other Hidden Disabilities awareness helps us know how best to
A little understanding goes a long way.
If you have any special requirements with regards to your pitching, please contact the campsite and we will do our best to help.
