Poll Reveal: What you told us about warranty cover

We reveal your thoughts on protecting your caravan against mechanical failures and the "hidden" costs of wear and tear.

In our recent safety and security poll, we asked for your thoughts on protecting your outfits against the unexpected. While many of you shared valuable insights, we noticed a lower completion rate than usual. We understand that navigating the nuances between 'cover' and 'warranties' can be complex, and your feedback has prompted us to take a closer look at how we can better support you when things go wrong.

The results are in

From those who responded, a clear theme emerged: while you feel confident in your protection against theft or road accidents, there is a growing concern regarding mechanical failures and the "hidden" costs of wear and tear.

Many members noted that repair costs are a significant worry—and rightly so. Our internal data shows that during 2025, there was a spike in declined claims simply because the issues were related to wear and tear rather than accidental damage.

Bridging the gap

Your feedback highlighted a clear "protection gap." While caravan cover and insurance are designed to protect against accidents, weather damage, and theft, is not designed to protect you against:

  • Internal component failures: Such as faulty fridges or water heaters.
  • Electrical circuit issues: Common in modern, tech-heavy outfits.
  • Water ingress: Including window seal failures and sunroof issues.
  • Delamination: Affecting all windows.

To address this, we have been working behind the scenes to find a solution that offers genuine peace of mind and simplifies the process of getting back on the road.

We are now delighted to be able to introduce you to Warranty Solutions Group (WSG), who are offering a bespoke caravan warranty product, which they have designed specifically for Club members.

By analysing our claim data—including the most common reasons for declined claims, such as sunroof fractures and internal failures—we have collaborated with WSG to create a product that covers the areas where you are most vulnerable.

Why this matters for you

  • Bespoke Cover: Focuses specifically on mechanical and electrical reliability, as well as window and sunroof fractures caused by thermal expansion.
