Tourer Explorer donates to Fields in Trust

08/01/2016

The Club has donated money from the sale of our Tourer Explorer small toys and gifts to the Fields in Trust charity.

Director General Nick Lomas presented the cheque to the charity just before Christmas last year to help fund their great work to preserve outdoor spaces.

We donated 10% of the profits from the sale of Tourer Explorer 'goodies' (including key rings, soft toys, pens and games) to Fields in Trust, who we first partnered with in May 2015.

Nick (pictured, right) said: “We are delighted that, from the sale of Tourer Explorer merchandise, we have been able to raise funds to support Fields in Trust this year.

"We recognise, just like Fields in Trust do, the importance of outdoor spaces for families of all ages to enjoy together, for fitness, fun and relaxing time together.”

Richard McKeever Marketing and Communications Manager at Fields in Trust (pictured, left) said: "We are delighted that the Club is supporting Fields in Trust with proceeds from Tourer Explorer pocket money toys. This will help Fields in Trust to secure playing fields, parks and playgrounds for future generations.

"We know that members of the Club share our concern to ensure outdoor space remains freely accessible for all to enjoy."

Fields in Trust

Fields in Trust is a 90-year-old charity that works to protect and promote open spaces for sport and recreation in cities and towns. They protect over 2,400 sites across the UK, working to keep these spaces open for everyone to enjoy.

What is Tourer Explorer?

Tourer Explorer is a fun family initiative from the Club. Our aim is to help get children and their families enjoying the great outdoors together while holidaying with us.

Kids can join in the fun with help from our intrepid adventurers Andy Venture and Holly Day with free activity packs on 66 of our sites.

They can follow treasure trails in search of the Club geocache, complete the activity pack challenges to win a reward and take home a 'pocket money purchase' to remember their stay.
