Based upon extensive research, including seeking feedback from members, non-members, and staff, we identified key areas for improvement to our Caravan Cover.
Caravan owners told us they wanted a simpler quote process, cover that matches their needs, transparent pricing, and more convenience.
Our members told us they value the excellent service we offer, especially our efficient claims handling. We are pleased to confirm this service remains a core strength, and the changes made should only enhance the overall experience.
As such, the focus of the redesign is to give you more control, better value, and superior convenience. And after years of hard work, we have delivered these improvements.
So what has changed?
You are in control
We have built a new online Quote journey, offering a seamless experience on your mobile phone, tablet or desktop, making getting a quote quicker and easier than ever.
You can now make changes to your cover online via 'My profile'. We've built new online functionality, so you can make many types of amendments, renew your cover, and have access to your documents - all when it's convenient to you. And you can make changes or cancel your cover without any amendment or mid-term cancellation fees.
Many members told us they only wanted to pay for features they needed and not for ones they don't, so we've made some elements of cover optional, for example, overseas cover.
Simple, Clear and Modern Cover
We have simplified our cover types available so you can easily compare the ‘Market Value’ and ‘New for Old’ value cover with competitors, and we’ve introduced a new ‘Paid Value’ cover that pays the amount you paid for the outfit should a total loss occur.
We understand that the cost of outfits are generally increasing, and the diversity of caravans on the road is growing. At the Caravan and Motorhome Club, our mission is to support all our members in enjoying the great outdoors. So, we have increased our cover limits too. This enhancement ensures we can protect a wider range of outfits, including those with modifications installed to improve accessibility, allowing even more of our members to tour with greater peace of mind.
Cost of Cover
You told us that value is important, so we have built a new rating system that considers more factors, such as storage location, to help us price more accurately and fairly. This means that many of our members who get a quote today will see a lower price than they would have done last year.
And you don’t have to wait to start saving money with Caravan Cover. If you Switch to Us before your renewal is due on your current caravan insurance, and you’re charged a cancellation fee - we’ll pay the fee.
