Our Caravan Cover claims team explain the claims process so you can be prepared if the worst should happen.

We hope that your time with your caravan is trouble free, but should something happen, whether it’s a minor mishap while manoeuvring or something more serious, knowing exactly how to start the claims process can make a world of difference.
Our claims handling is provided by our specialist partners, Crawford & Company, who are available to support you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Immediate steps to take
If you need to make a claim, there are a few essential things to do before contacting us:
- Safety first: following an incident, ensure you and your passengers are safe. If your caravan is damaged but remains towable, if you can, make any temporary repairs necessary to prevent further damage.
- Theft or Vandalism: If your caravan or equipment has been stolen or maliciously damaged, notify the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number.
- Documentation: Collect as much information as possible at the scene, including photographs of the damage and details of any other parties involved.
How to submit your claim
You can choose the method that best suits you to notify us of a new claim:
- Online: Our online claim form is the quickest way to submit your details. It enables you to attach necessary documents and photos directly, saving time on printing and posting.
- By Phone: Call our dedicated claims team on 01908 892 318
- By Email/Post: You can download a general or theft-specific claim form from our Documents and Claim Guidance page. Once completed, you can email it to caravanclaims@crawco.co.uk or post it to: Crawford Caravan Cover, Ashton House, Central 2nd Floor, Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes MK9 2AH.
What happens next?
Once you have submitted your claim, the following steps typically occur:
- Repair Estimates: You will need to obtain a repair estimate from a reputable repairer. If your outfit is still under warranty, we strongly recommend using a manufacturer-approved workshop.
- If you require assistance locating a repairer, or if you suspect your outfit is a write-off, please contact our claims team on 01908 892 318. We may appoint Complete Vehicle Support (CVS) to assist you with getting your outfit repaired.
- Assessment: In some cases, we may appoint an Assessor or Loss Adjuster to inspect the damage. They will contact you directly to arrange a convenient time for this.
- Approval and Excess: Once repairs are approved, you can book your caravan in for the work. Your cover excess is paid directly to the repairer upon completion or deducted from your final settlement.
