New horizons - Introducing our refreshed Red Pennant Travel Insurance

For over 50 years, Red Pennant has been the Gold Standard for members venturing across the Channel. As we look ahead to the 2026 touring season, the way we support your overseas adventures is evolving.

To ensure we continue providing the most robust and modern protection, we have refreshed our overseas offering. We are excited to announce a new partnership with specialist provider PJ Hayman for travel insurance.

1. Red Pennant Travel Insurance (with PJ Hayman)

Our new travel insurance is designed specifically for the unique needs of tourers, whether you are driving your outfit or flying to a destination.

What’s  covered:

Red Pennant Travel Insurance is available up to the age of 79. If you are over 80 years please see Extended options section below.

Medical peace of mind

• Up to £5 million in emergency medical expenses and access to a 24-hour UK-based GP service.

Pre-existing conditions

• Automatic cover for a wide range of pre-existing medical conditions without the need for lengthy screening calls.

Trip protection

• Up to £2.500 for cancellation or curtailment of your holiday if you become ill and are unable to travel.
• If you are unable to drive following a medical incident, we will pay up to £2,500 to get your outfit back to the UK.

Flexible durations

• Single trips up to 90 days or Annual Multi-trip cover (up to 45 days per trip).

Extended options

• Specialist cover available for members aged 80 and over, as well as options for winter sports, cruises, longer durations and worldwide cover through PJ Hayman.

What’s not covered:

Vehicle breakdown

• This policy covers you, not your vehicle. You will need separate breakdown cover for your car, caravan, or motorhome.

Routine treatment

• Medical expenses that can wait until you return to the UK.
• Pre-existing medical conditions, unless they are on the accepted conditions list and the words in brackets apply to you.

High-value tech

• Some limits apply to laptops and smartphones; please check your schedule for specific item limits.

A seamless transition

If you currently hold a Red Pennant policy purchased before 30 January 2026, your cover remains fully valid and will be supported by our existing Emergency Assistance Team until your policy expiry date.
