Caravan Mirrors and Cameras Poll Results
Last year, we asked you to tell us about mirrors and other manoeuvring aids on your caravan. Here’s a round-up of what you told us.

The really good news is that many of you use a combination of aids, most often a combination of mirrors and cameras, to provide a ‘total package’.
As expected, most of you use your equipment to help with all-round manoeuvring and parking, although many specified turning around as well. A large number of you also responded ‘Other’ to remind us that we hadn’t offered an option simply for ‘driving’! Our bad!

When asked what advice would you offer your fellow caravanners who do not currently have mirrors or cameras, almost everyone who responded - nearly 400 of you - said, simply “Get some!”
It’s reassuring to know so many of our members are responsible and experienced caravanners, who take the safety of themselves, their rigs - and other road users - seriously.
Milenco Falcon towing mirrors - members save 10% in our Clubshop
Remember, when heading away on a caravan holiday in the UK, rear-view extension mirrors are required by law to be fitted to most cars while towing a caravan. The improved rear and peripheral vision they provide significantly reduces the risk of accidents - and you risk being fined up to £1,000 and getting penalty points for towing without proper towing mirrors. For more details, see the article from our Technical Team.
And don’t forget, you can order a wide range of towing mirrors from our Club Shop, and our caravanning courses are a great way to build your confidence when towing.
We thoroughly recommend to use mirrors as a way to minimise accidents, as whether you have our Caravan Cover or another providers' financial protection, the price of a mirror could save having to file for a claim and have the caravan repaired. Do contact our Caravan Cover team on 01342 649 880 who are happy to help with any question you may have.
